No different to here with Gilmour. Some think we’ve made a Murray like mistake, others less bothered

If I listen hard enough, I'm sure I can hear Stat Brother BOOOOING him after his failure to set the world on fire after fewer than 20 minutes on the pitch.

Rotter OUT! :dunce:

Got more confidence in Rutter coming good than Minteh, who looks like all he does is run in a straight line straight into defenders from what I’ve seen.

I'm really excited about him. Big personality.
No way we are paying that much unless we absolutely believe he's a gem.

Could not disagree more about Minteh.

He works incredibly hard and is a constant danger. We don’t score the first goal against Everton without his outstanding acceleration to beat his man from a standing start and we don’t score that goal on Saturday without his ridiculous pace and strength against a physically formidable Arsenal defence.

My best mate is a Leeds season ticket holder (in fact he came to the United match with me and my lad for our annual trip to the late August match). When we were linked with Summerville earlier in the window he said “to be honest I think Rutter is more important to us because he creates all the space for Summerville by occupying players”. He emphasised this point when they sold him to West Ham. So imagine my glee when we signed him 😀

Yes, and his goals per minute stat for us is crap
I'm sure this time last year, we had people complaining we don't have enough strikers.

Now the regular front four are Welbeck, Pedro, Mitoma and Minteh. Rutter is pushing for a place, and then Ferguson will be back soon. Not forgetting March as well.

We look very potent when in attack, and we have strength in depth.

The Leeds fan I spoke to about him said they are a better team without him and he is amazed that anyone met the release clause

He said specifically that he's good at taking players on in the Championship, but that often he lost the ball when doing this and the got hit on turnovers.

Just passing it on!
The Leeds fan I am mates with (singular) didn't speak to me for 3 days after this transfer as he was so heartbroken. Said he's a joy to watch and will be great at Brighton when he finally got over himself.

I hope the opinion of the person you spoke to is more accurate than the opinion of the one I did!

Very early days but I have seen nothing in his cameos yet to make me think “yep, that’s a 40 million pound player”
Come on. He’s made a couple of substitute appearances. He’s shown a lot of energy and determination in what I’ve seen and I think he’ll be in the thick of a lot of goals given time. He may not be a Haaland type deadly finisher but he will be creating tons of chances and contributing to others. I keep reading that his finishing needs improvement so let’s presume that FH and his coaches will be working with him on that.
