He’s also still a little bit one-footed for my liking in a midfielder but that can also improve.
You MUST be referring to a player that is left-footed because such things are ONLY said of players that are left-footed. Might it have something to do with the fact that c85% of people are right-footed/handed?

That is correct. Like it is also possible to only have a wand of a left foot. A right foot could never possess that sort of magic.

Underperforming xG by 8 is a wild stat and explains why some Leeds fans have said his finishing is awful.

On the plus side, it means he's getting in the right positions and perhaps have been unlucky. Is there a highlight reel of his misses?
That underperformance is just the sort of thing I imagine would get picked up by our recruitment’s algorithms in terms of identifying a potentially much higher ceiling than is currently evident to the naked eye.

He could of course just be a fundamentally bad finisher but you’d expect that xG to gravitate back in the right direction in time.

It’s a trend - Bissouma, Lallana, Moder and Gilmour all barn door billys and never got any better

He basically matched his xG at Hoffenheim.

Just watched a highlights reel his link up play and passing awareness in the final third is superb. He will create bundles of goals. As already stated in the thread his finishing is the area for improvement but that can be coached and he’s still young. A very exciting prospect.

🤣That’s a good point!

Do you not agree though re: Baleba?

I’ve watched him closely and he looks to receive on his left foot in very awkward spots when he should on his right. Likewise he’ll over manoeuvre to play a pass with his left. Wouldn’t say the same of Gilmour, Dunk or Gross for example.

Wow that takes me back.
My sports teacher wouldn't let me play Cricket, Tennis, Rounders or Hockey left handed due to it's reference of being sinister!
my grandad was ambidextrous. He wasn't really, he was left handed, but whenever he would write with his left hand he would be hit over the hand with a ruler. and thus he had to write with his non-dominant hand. the invention of the biro in allowed for the left handers of the left-to-right orinetated writing world to avoid (this particular form of) teacher abuse.
