Listen to me!!!
Please no. Awful player
How many times have you watched him out of interest? Please no. Awful player
Step forward Jakub Moder! This has been on my mind as well.
Watching a few St. Pauli games in preparation for the arrival of Fab, I noticed that all the St. Pauli players were natural athletes - tall, athletic, run all day types.
I suspect we will be looking at those kinds of players from now on.
Great point.Interesting. Reasonably similar in profile of player to Joao Pedro.
He was very good last season. Would be keen as long as it’s not in place of Joao Pedro. If it was to be alongside Joao Pedro, I’d be interested to know where they’d fit in a team together.
Pleased that we’re looking at more muscular/physical players if KDH and Rutter are going to be typical of the types of player we’re looking to sign. We definitely had too many smaller, less physical players last season than is ideal.
I would love him to take a step forward. The trouble is, he never quite seems to to take that step up to the plate. He can do a fetch and carry job, but does he ever boss the midfield?Step forward Jakub Moder!
How many assists will he get in the Prem if his Championship pass success rate is only 69% and his successful dribbles is only 52%?It’s his assists we’re surely looking at, not the goals so much?
Stats aren’t the best I grant you. But there is something in the eye test I find appealing. He looks very good at turning defenders in the middle of the pitch. He is two footed and goes either way. I’ve just got a hunch that because he is relatively young, we’re seeing a development opportunity. How many assists will he get in the Prem if his Championship pass success rate is only 69% and his successful dribbles is only 52%?
I think Transfermarkt has his value about right at Euros 18mill. Leeds paid double this price to get him - Hoffenheim mugged them.
I suspect your wife and Mrs T are part of a super-covenYeah those stats aren't earth shattering
Not sure if I can see us forking out another £30m in this window unless it's someone remarkable and he doesn't seem to be.
But I know nothing. Wife can attest.
The point is good attacking players ahould outperform their xG in the Championship because they are high quality.I hope Tony's data is a little more sophisticated.
One is a midfielder the other is a CF.

Rutter is a No.10, an atacking midfielder who likes to drift about behimd the No. 9. He should have scored more goals last season - Dewsbury Hall outscored him 12 to 7 playing from a deeper position.
I watched Leeds several times last season and can't recall a match where Rutter dominated, unlike Summerville who was consistently quality.
Unfortunately, I think you are right. As has already been stated in this thread, Rutter is a provider not a finisher. I believe we are looking to replace the assists we are about to lose with Pascal Gross' departure.
We tried and failed to sign Dewsbury-Hall who made 14 assists last season and have now moved on to Rutter who had 15. Only Ipswich's Davies has more, but we're well stocked at LB.
USGs Puertas would probably be out first choice, but UEFA have scuppered that for now, maybe we'll hold off until January when the embargo has expired.
If we're looking to replace Gross with Rutter, I think i'm going to start going to watch hockey somewhere insteadI believe we are looking to replace the assists we are about to lose with Pascal Gross' departure.
