I think to buy Boyd would be counterproductive. We are a good team at the moment, how far should we go to change our style of play to suit one player?

How much money do we have?
It’s going to be a very interesting season next year, which ever division we are in. We have so many loanee’s in the team at the moment, we would have to spend a bundle just to have the same team.
i’m assuming that with the loan players we are not even playing their full wage bill. Add in the possibility of Vicente not being with us.
It just seems amazing how far we have come that we are talking about "should we spend 2M on Boyd" when we don’t own a third of our playing staff already.

I have to disagree, for me a second striker or someone who plays 'in the hole' would play in the positions that Gervinho, Suarez, Rooney normally occupy. Barnes covers all of the pitch, rarely stationed as a striker.

Like most on here I really hope that a fit Vicente will still be with us next season. If not we will need a class playmaker - irrespective of what division we are in.

Not sure that Boyd is the answer, although his past understanding with CMS would be a factor.
