Yep this is the same mistake RDZ made, Keep playing the preferred style even though we don't have the players available to accomplish it.I'd have taken a look at our depleted squad and set up to be difficult to beat and perhaps nick one on the counter.
I couldn’t watch that again it’s like pulling finger nails.Even the usually buffoonish Martin Keown managed to identify our basic tactical error of playing 1 midfielder - and pointed out, multiple times, that Pedro not putting any pressure on the ball lead to chances/goals.
He was indeed a proper manager, although just 12 months prior to his appointment this had happened :The relief of getting a proper manager through the door in CH was very welcome. I feel we are in a similar situation at present. The inexperience of FH is very telling the PL is unforgiving not a league to learn in.
Gave three examples, how many more?Like what? A hat? A broach? A pterodactyl?
How do you counter attack against a team that wants to counter attack? We need to be solid defensively and good on counter.
As others have said, the game is changing and the ‘Pep’ way needs longer works…
Tippy tappy is gone.
Pace, decisiveness is en vogue
Fair point. I don't have the answers, but just maybe, with a more cautious approach, the home fans get a bit antsy (as they turned up probably expecting to win) and Forest have to attack - which normally suits us.How do you counter attack against a team that wants to counter attack?
Forest would have remained sitting their defenders deep and not playing a high line so it barely would have worked anyway.
