I agree with AN. Totally. The Shawshank Redemption. No.

I know we,ve been here before US and it is only about opinions but I find Darabont has taken all the smaltz from his influence by Speilberg but very little else.

There's not actually THAT many aliens in Starwars.

f*** knows what a Stormtrooper is then. And Chewbacca. Hands Solo? Sounds like my love life. And that fat thing that looks like John Prescott (I know he posts on here, sorry John). And the Henrik Larsson thing. And those giant walker things. As for Darth Vader, gimme a luminous condom and a dark room, I'll show you a light saber sonny jim. Don't even get me started on the fella who was knocking orf his own sister. Bleh.

A storm trooper is a clone in uniform. A clone of the (humanoid) Jango Fett.

Inception.

I had heard it was a really good film, but it turned out to be quite boring and have a film with one of the worst ending I've ever seen.

I'm with you. Listening to Mark Kermode, you'd think Nolan is the new Orson Welles but I just don't see the fuss over any of his films. Any.

Inception is a case of the Emperor's New Clothes.

Pretty much all kubrick films
Godfather parts 1 and 2
Raging Bull
The Good the bad the ugly
The magnificent 7
Grave of the fireflies
several akira kurosawa

Bloody hell, really? Is it a case of you rating them lower than the masses, or you simply don't like them at all?

'Being John Malkovich' is no way near as clever as it thinks it is and anyone who does think it's clever is a smug hipster dick.

q.v. "Eternal Sunshine ......"

bollocks

an if you take 'well regarded' Box office the out of IMDB's top 50 grossing films of all time the only one I've seen and would like to see again is E.T.*

*I haven't seen most of the animated films or any of the Harry Potter films so can't pass judgement (but I bet I wouldn't like them)

I like the concept of eternal sunshine and watched it whilst struggling over a break up but it did not deliver really. Great idea, poorly executed.

Like the Beatles music, everyone likes it as they have been brought up to think that way

Nightmare Before Christmas - truly the worst film I have ever seen and may ever see.

I'm slightly amazed that my 3 favourite films have all been mentioned on this thread: Inception, Shawshank Redemption and Saving Private Ryan! Each to their own.
