Apocolypse Now
The Shawshank Redemption

Both deemed as classics but both grossly overrated in my opinion.

Although I think Coppella's first 2 Godfather films are crime graphic masterpieces.
So it's not the director with Apocalypse Now although Darabont is a crap director.

Snatch and Lock Stock were triumphs, strange

Tbh I can't stand Guy Ritchie films and the constant need to 'Over English' everything.
I also can't get into films where I can predict what's going to happen throughout it's entirety. Very average film maker imo, one trick pony.

Any of the Coen brothers films, particularly the big lebowski. Find them all mind numbingly boring.

The shining, massive disappointment. Taxi driver the same. Though it is harder for a film to impress when it has so much hype.

A new found respect for Ritchie for Sherlock Holmes, especially the first one though to be fair. I did not think he was capable of directing a very decent film but apparently he is.

Oh wait a minute, now you are messing with the universal order of things:rant:

Ted Knight vs Rodney Dangerfield bits are funny, Chevy Chase being force fed a bong and beer whilst plying through Bill Murrays hut is funny..............AND THAT IS IT.

Worthing
Largely Over-Rated 'Films' - All taken from IMDB top 250

Fight Club
Se7en
The Shining
Wall-E
A Clockwork Orange
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Braveheart
Snatch
Lock Stock
Kill Bill
Trainspotting

I,d go with all of them although I found Se7en half decent.

To be fair, I quite enjoyed the first SH and haven't yet seen the sequel although I'm not too keen after some of the reviews. I'll catch it on Sky Movies if it's on.
As for Se7en, I think it's a fair film, good idea but very forgettable.
I'm a right film buff and loving these threads
