A little different from the rest. I have a Pentax K20D, which I love.

Pentax 540 flash gun,
Pentax 28-200 lens as the every day one
18-55 that came with the camera.
12-24 wide angle, which I just love
150-500 Sigma.

Forgot all about this thread, been meaning to upload a couple of recent pictures. Here's a couple I am quite pleased with. Only a beginner really but love taking pictures of animals and insects etc.

Nikon D5000 with 55-200 Nikkor lens in both cases.

I know it's kind of cheating, but Camera Bag for the mac is a great simple app for adjusting photos. I took some in gloom last year, accidentally keeping a tiny aperture and low iso. They'll never be perfect but the programme helped me cheer up a bit.

Out of interest, how many people look at the histogram displayed after taking a photo? Simple reassurance that your exposure is within reasonable limits, though I guess it's not available on all cameras.

I tend to use the histogram more during post processing than when actually taking pictures. Probably the wrong way round but I don't normally have time when taking pictures.

All the time, amateurs and pros alike, you should never rely on whats on your monitor.

I was thinking of setting up an Albion supporters photography group on flickr anyone else interested? If so I'll set it up so we can share photos and tips on pictures?

I bought a new digital compact camera the other week for my trip to New York/Orlando.
I wanted something decent but didn't want to lug around a DSLR or have it stolen at a theme park so went for the a Panasonic Lumix TZ30.
Absolutely chuffed with it and it takes amazing shots for a DCC.

Great one for an amateur as there are loads of funky automatic modes to try out. I do like this one at the Olympic Park using "mini" mode although it probably would have worked a bit higher up!

That is the same camera I have just bought as well, I love it, still trying to work out all the settings though.
