Yeah sure, pretty easy really.

Just use the selection brush to highlight the area you want to keep in colour (Make sure you zoom in etc to ensure you have selected all the bits you want and removed all the bits you don't)

Once selection is complete select Inverse selection, this will then select everything outside of your selection.

Then choose convert to black and white

Its that simple really,, you can then add vinegettes and other effects until your please with your end result.

OK - thanks - I'll have a play, but my experience with the selection tools is not brilliant... maybe you are just more accurate/patient than me. I had rather hoped there was some clever selection by colour process. I guess I need to be more patient!

Shot this one the day after Millwall match. Pi**ed off with the result, couldnt sleep, so caught the first train up to London Bridge, walked down to Tower Bridge and shot the view as sun came up. Used a 10 stop graduated filter to blur the Thames. No people in shot as they didn't register with a minute long exposure

Can anyone help. I have noticed that people take really good shots with their phones at concerts but I find that I cant get the focus right..like this one! Anyone any advice as to how I can improve this.

Looks like someone's used a can of Mr. Sheen, a soft yellow cloth and lots of elbow grease on the Thames there! Love it.

The photo I took of the moon, I had put on to a canvas. They was with my bridge camera and was set to manual functions. What lens did you use?

Wow. I have a bit of a thing for keep taking photos of the moon. I even have a folder fire all my pictures and a sub-folder for the moon. That second one is amazing. Love your work. Go on the webpage canvas4life.com

Love your moon photos Uncle C. Mine was taken with a 18-105 lens, hand held. I've just ordered the latest Nikon 80-400 lens and when it comes, I'll try the moon again on a tripod.

There's lots of good articles on Google about photographing the moon. The main challenges are that its very bright which bleaches out the definition and also its a moving target.

To get mine I used a tripod and eliminated all vibration by using remote shutter trigger and starting with the mirror locked up.
