Sorry, I don’t take all this politics stuff seriously

I have no friends, everyone I know thinks I am a twat

They’re right
The joke was good....but it only really works if you're not paying attention to politics.

I have a feeling that you are tempted to take an interest, but are being held back by a lifetime of disappointment

(Most people who think they know me think I'm a twat, too. Am I bovvered? Let me take a short holiday and think about that, no.)

In other news, the ‘hard c*** of Brexit’ has ****ed off on holiday rather than bothering to campaign in his own constituency.

He’s given up too hasn’t he?

Practicing fast catamaran sailing apparently..

Rachel Reeves sounds impressive I'd not heard her speak before. The words are better than the delivery (bit of stumbling), but you can tell this is what she thinks and what she will do. Slapping both left and right. Sounds Blairite in direction, but without the apologetic and unctuous element. Common sense economics. Hmmm....

Very disappointed with the lack of gimmicks. Where is all the free money the Tories have promised me? I'm. Not. Convinced.

Farrage now, unaccountably, being given free airtime for a full speech on radio 5. He is absolutely tearing the Tories a new one. If only the tories had learned how to deal with him years ago, that is standing up to him rather than attempt to steal some of his tropes, they wouldn't now be being ridiculed over the Rwanda policy. By Farage. Who claims the Tories have cut and run with an election because they know Rwanda won't work. Bosh.

Now he's laying into Labour for not stopping illegal immigrant drug gangs. Hmmm.... that attack fizzled out rather quickly. I suppose it would, given Labour hasn't been in power for 13 years.

Now he's on about Brexit. Apparently 'The boats' is a betrayal of Brexit. Failing to mention, of course, that the illegal immigrants are not Europeans.

And the Farage plan - nobody entering the UK illegally will ever be granted asylum. Boats should be escorted back to French waters and handed back to the French. Sounds like a plan....but how could it be implemented? I am assuming here that he would be happy to shove the boats back into French waters, to sink if the French won't play ball. It is a plan and perhaps it will work. A lot of dead people, but it is, after all, their own silly fault.

If only the world were this simple. If it were, perhaps the frog faced fraud might be able to get himself elected.

How on earth did someone who has stood and failed to be elected to Parliament 7 times managed to play such a significant role in the chaos we are now suffering and yet is still taking up more time on mainstream meeja than any democratically elected MP ...... Oh

Yes he has. Would take less than a 4% swing to Labour, and in a constituency well the Lib Dems are a clear 3rd place so an obvious choice for any tactical voters avoiding splitting the anti-tory vote.

Wycombe is an interesting one. The Labour candidate that significantly reduced Baker's majority at the last election went on to become Mayor of Wycombe ...don't know how popular he is but he's now standing for Mad George Galloway's workers party.

I didn't know that, and that is an interesting scenario. I don't know Wycombe well at all, but I can't imagine that it'd be a hot bed for the workers party. It was also a remain voting town, so I expect that the self-styled hard man of Brexit wouldn't have been that popular.

Tories stole and weaponized his prejudices and idiocy.

Edit, or as a builder I met, skiing (well-paid builder and successful businessman) told me, Farage is a really good bloke and down to earth. He says it like it is.

Diane Abbott banned from standing by the Labour Party, no great loss to the nation.
If she really believed in Labour and their project, she’d have trotted off quietly as she is absolute kryptonite to the gammonati.

The last thing Labour need now is someone undermining their Public School VAT policy. She is better suited to opposition under Corbyn rather than government under Sir Keir.

I never get how someone who has failed so miserably when people have had the opportunity to vote for him can claim to be the true voice of the people. I can't see why he gets so much airtime.
