That I completely agree with. Maybe if in PMQs they debated like adults then the public was do so in these debates. Clapping yes, cheering is stupid at the end of the day.
Its not really the public imitating politicians though is it.
There is no need for applause either during the debate. It adds nothing.
If the rules were set as they were before that the audience is silent during the debate, they would just have to abide by the rules.
PMQ is nothing more than 30 minutes of theatre. I wouldnt change it for the world, its hot air and blusto.
People that use it as an example though of how business is conducted in parliament clearly have never watched normal day to day running in the house or watched a select committee go about their business.These day to day processes are massively different in how they are conducted compared to PMQ
