That I completely agree with. Maybe if in PMQs they debated like adults then the public was do so in these debates. Clapping yes, cheering is stupid at the end of the day.

Its not really the public imitating politicians though is it.
There is no need for applause either during the debate. It adds nothing.
If the rules were set as they were before that the audience is silent during the debate, they would just have to abide by the rules.

PMQ is nothing more than 30 minutes of theatre. I wouldnt change it for the world, its hot air and blusto.
People that use it as an example though of how business is conducted in parliament clearly have never watched normal day to day running in the house or watched a select committee go about their business. These day to day processes are massively different in how they are conducted compared to PMQ

[emoji38]ol:[emoji38]ol: Journalists from Labour-supporting publications admitting the BBC audience was laughably biased towards Labour tonight.

This seems quite simple to me. Over the last 3 elections, I think, the Conservatives have only polled about 34% on average. So a fairly representative audience would contain 66% non-Conservative voters. It's not actually *biased* though, is it?

Did it for a bit of a larf to be honest. Nuttall is a massive prick though.

So you had a look for these "fascists" did you. For a "larf" i have put up a few from the UKIP 2017 candidates, just for a "larf" like.

Aylesbury Vijay Srao
Cardiff Central Mohammed Islam
Cities of London and Westminster Mohammad Ali Bhatti
Gravesham Emmanuel Feyisetan
Great Yarmouth Catherine Blaiklock (actually her husband is black)
Harborough DR Tech Keong Khong
Harrow West Rathy Alagaratnam
Hendon Sabriye Warsame
Hodgehill Mohammed  Khan
Ilford South Tariq Saeed
Lewisham West and Penge Hoong-Wai Cheah
Luton South Ujjawal UB
North Wiltshire Padam Paddy Singh
Old Bexley and Sidcup Freddy Vachha

Actually looking at the profiles of some of the candidates, like barristers and financial people, i do think Nuttal was not a good choice for leader.

Suppose not, considering the amount of lefties on this board and around Brighton, the Amex should be a cauldron of noise then.

Quick question about labour

Didn't want to lose the reply in the huge thread!

Simple question, will JC take us out the single market?

It's a vote deciding question..

It is interesting to see the surge for Labour since the election has been called, as well as the collapse of UKIP, and all the other parties dwindling support.

Its a redundant question. There is NO possibility of leaving the EU and staying in the single market. None.

The Labour manifesto commits to stopping Freedom of Movement. It is impossible to remain in the single market without FoM. So, yes.

As the Tory % is pretty much the same as it was when the election was called, is the Labour surge at least down to tactical 'anyone but the Tories' voting?

Eh? Even supposing the assumption is correct, crowds of 'lefties' don't have a monopoly on noise. Nuremberg rallies were, by all accounts, quite loud affairs.

Around Brighton are they.
Most of the loud noise in THiS country comes from leftie audiences, demos and shouting others down. Next you will be quoting the Italian Ultras.

What does surprise me is how poor the Lib Dems are doing, to me their policies seem deliverable whereas Labour are living on another planet. If Labour did win there is no way they could deliver and half their ideas
