Well the poll is just people from a football forum if:

149 who have clicked Conservative live in Haywards Heath

66 who clicked Labour live in Hove

49 who clicked Green live in central Brighton

Then nothing changes

However if the 81 who clicked Liberal Dem live in Lewes then it means something as Caulfield only has a 1000 majority.

Our rotton system is really ony affected by 100 or so seats that can swing between the big partys its a safe job for most.

Unless this poll tells you where people live and if their vote counts it tells you very little.

As a long-term poster on here (10 years or so) I can say only say that NSC has consistently has been pro-Labour when there have been political threads. 'People from a football forum' would I suggest tend to be Working Class and it would appear that Corbyn has lost a significant amount of them.

Not that Corbyn was ever Working Class of course.

I really wanna vote liberal as i feel Labour is now a wasted vote (this could change if Corbyn pulls his finer out) , however this cringing clip of Farron doesn't do him any favours.

It's a difficult one, Lib Dems as a party do believe in equality, as do Labour, Greens etc (I mean so should everyone FFS but other brains 'think' differently and vote for the right) but you can't have a leader of a party who's faith provides him with inequality and which is different from his party's. And for that reason I'm not contemplating voting for them.

That's pure guesswork - this board is left leaning, and in 2015 would have elected a Labour led Goverment. Look now, labour have collapsed

I fear that you may be right but will his faith really affect how he runs the party? Surely lib dems is the lesser of 3 evils

The biggest evil is the Tories, vote against them whichever way is best. I'd rather vote Green but Hove & PS have a fairly strong Labour candidate to retain the seat so I'll be voting for him to avoid the Tory gain.

You know what the problem is, we just don't know how good we really have it in this country compared to others. There are opportunities, there are jobs, if you are able, you just have to get off your arse and stop blaming the government for absolutely everything like the labour party seem to do.

Tactical voting to try and keep them out. Whatever happens with Brexit a Tory huge will only create a more divided nation. It was also further increase the risk of break up of the Union

You know what the problem is, we just don't know how good we really have it in this country compared to others. There are opportunities, there are jobs, if you are able, you just have to get off your arse and stop blaming the government for absolutely everything like the labour party seem to do.

Which is why it is a scandal there isn't more investment in our schools, our NHS, making it easier for all to go into higher education. Most people do get off their arse to work, they just want their kids to go to a school that can afford to buy some books, or have treatment for illness without waiting 6 months.

Whilst I agree with you general point about being relatively lucky to have been born in the UK and that we should be aware of that, it doesn’t mean you have to like and/or accept all Tory policy and/or philosophy.

Are you trying to say that because some people earn a dollar a day working 24-hours we should be aiming for that, if so we may as well give up now, or that if you work 40+ hours a week earning the minimum wage trying to bring up two children you shouldn’t be hoping that the state can help you along?

Also the Labour party, whether you like it or not, are the opposition, of course they are going to blame the government and say things could be better. Equally the Tories would and do blame Labour for absolutely everything, rightly or wrongly.

Agreed. And I don't think that most people are fundamentally against austerity measures to try to reduce the national debt as long as it's fairly distributed, it doesn't put key services at risk and that the most vulnerable are protected. I've never understood why the last government never considered asking businesses to pay their fair share of the austerity burden. We have one of the lowest corporation tax rates in Europe. Surely increasing it from 20% to 21% would have been fairer than looking to cut disability benefits.

Exactly. We're not talking socialist ideology here, or radical taxation reform, but small steps could have been taken to relieve the depth of most of the cuts. I know many Tory voters who are dismayed with that lack of balancing from the government.

One of my first roles was doing feasibility studies for school improvements across Essex 1995 - 1997. Years of under investment in buildings and infrastructure meant a huge number of kids were being taught in temporary classrooms, and schools were desperately in need of basic investment from new heating systems to general repairs, to extensions and refurbishment. I fear the same will happen that from 2022 we'll nearly 15 years on from the financial crash, and they'll be a serious amount of investment needed to improve / maintain / refurbish our existing buildings. Whoever takes that on will no doubt be blamed for overspending.

Perhaps schools should take a look at modifying their budget priorities.If the roads in our area were re-surfaced as often as the local Junior school car park at budget year end,we wouldn't need suspension on our cars!
