I'm seriously puzzled as to why you are so keen to get the Tories out and Milliband in. They are both centre-right parties, both full of career politicians with no real understanding of the issues us plebs face, both parties are happy to sell anyone and anything down the river if they think it's in their interests. Did 10 years of Tony Blair not make any impression on your mistaken belief that Labour is a socialist party and looking out for the common man?

What, like the situation in your country where Frau Merkel had to go into coalition with the SPD because the two market right parties had cancelled each other out? Not her first choice, was it? The CDU/CSU's natural partners are the FDP. Whatever I think of this current lot, and you know from the Boris thread my opinion of him, I can't say an Ed Miliband/Vince Cable combination exactly thrills me. If it had been David on the other hand, I could live with that.

Of all the options available I feel they offer the fairest society. Note I say fairest, and not fair.

Labour are far from perfect and have made many mistakes and not all of my ideas are aligned with thiers but I feel they offer the best chance of how I want the UK to be.

Really? I can't say I know anybody who's seen much benefit. But then I don't know many bankers.

Yes, but Bloomberg did the Germany/Spain survey. They didn't do the political one, they're just reporting on it.

I don't necessarily subscribe to the view the Lib Dems will be wiped out at the next election. For starters they have a core vote of 9-10% of the electorate they can rely on. I don't see that Miliband or Cameron are likely to erode that base at all.

Secondly, they've proved they can make a coalition work and contribute to a government that can work economically. Clearly, they're unlikely to be in the 20%+ territory of 2010, but I think there's a lot they can be proud of AND they get to mount a campaign having learned from getting burned on undeliverable pledges like tuition fees. If they can convince the electorate that they've made a significant contribution to the recovery and have more to offer then they could bounce back to 15%-16% and that may be enough to help retain enough seats to force another hung parliament.

In theory the only way it can get better for Miliband is if the governing parties and UKIP shoot themselves in the foot. However, if the Tories and Lib Dems can keep their noses clean and continue to deliver the economic recovery this might be as good as it gets for Labour.

The best website to get an objective view of voting intention is http://ukpollingreport.co.uk, which has had Labour in the lead for absolutely ages. The site combines opinions polls from a number of different sources. Current projections indicate a Labour majority. That said, Labour's lead has fallen significantly and I suspect we are heading for another hung Parliament. As previously stated, Labour have the wrong Miliband in charge.

I think that's wishful thinking on your part.

They're already on benefits paid for by the tax payer. But Tory MP Mark Simmonds doesn't think his £27,875 annual rental allowance is enough.

representative democracy does not work when there is no one to vote for that will represent us.

Whoever we vote for will make absolutely no difference, there will be no social improvements. Inequality will continue to increase, the environment will continue to be destroyed, politics will become more and more corrupted by the wealthy ruling classes.

Democracy really needs to be revolutionised somehow, but obviously that is not in the interests of the main parties.
