The BBC exit poll has no chance of being right. It's way off every poll on the lead in to the election.

If the other exit poll is right - it's another general election in a few months

Seems strange with every poll not just YouGov saying the same thing for the last 6 weeks and suddenly the BBC exit poll is all over the place

the point is that the strangness is due to the difference in methodology. we've become so used to a narrow range that we assume they are correct (because those producing them tell us...). however telephone polling and stopping people in the streets are biased towards certain demographics, they pick up lots of undecided too that get blended into the results. we'll see in a few hours, one polling method is going to burn.
