Looks like Hamas/Palestine have more support from their Arab Neighbors this time. Could this escalate to properly kick off against the US/Israel bullies. They certainly hve a lot to answer for in the middle east constantly making a mockery of UN resolutions.

It has only taken 60 years of consistent Isreali aggression, occupying Palestinian land and ignoring of UN resolutions for someone with a brain to realise that they are the aggressors in this confict......the only real surprise is that some people still don't.

True enough, However I don't think it is actually as complicated as some would like us to think. I spent many years living incomplete confusion about the situation. Then I read John Pilger's take on it and watched his movie.

I don't pretend to understand all the ins and outs but it is certainly not confusing like the other explanations I have read and all supporting evidences fits into it quite nicely.

When the facts are posted, by all means debate & have a view.


There is no such thing as “confiscated Palestinian land”. The West Bank belonged to Jordan, as a result of the armistice “Green” line border at the end of the 1948 war, in which 6 combined Arab countries attempted to wipe Israel, and her Jewish inhabitants, off the face of the Earth.

The West Bank only came under Israeli control during the 1967 war, when again Jordan combined with Egypt in hostilities against Israel. It was the Jordanians who lost the West Bank, not “Palestinians.” In fact, over the years large numbers of Palestinians were displaced or killed not by Israel but by Jordan.

Israel removed 9000 of its citizens from Gaza a few years ago, leaving their houses, shops, places of worship to those in Gaza & what did Hamas do? They bulldozed the whole lot down & left the remains & rubble. Israel has had to endure more than 12000 rockets fired from Gaza in the last 12 years. Yes most are crude handmade rockets, but hey if you live in Sderot (Israel) the nearest town in Israel to Gaza you only have seconds to get to a shelter.

In the last week BEFORE Israel launched its targeted campaign against Hamas leaders, more than 150 rockets were fired into Israel. If France were lobbing rockets to us, how long would we take it before retaliating?

Before Israel attacks it announces where they will take action, by dropping leaflets, however, unfortunately citizens will inevitably be caught in the fire of action when Hamas are using their citizens as cover, by hiding & firing missiles in civilian buildings.

Gaza is bordered by Egypt as well as Israel. The Israelis want nothing to do with the Palestinians living there & just to live in peace.

Whatever the rights and wrongs I really hope that Cameron is man enough to keep British troops out of this conflict, regardless of what the Americans do.

Yep. Thank god England is not surrounded by all those warmongering Arab countries..... no wonder they have to be on their guard against those backward ideologies.
