Albion have signed him after a 12-game loan stint with Grays in the Blue Square premier as cover for regular right-back Andrew Whing, who faces another three weeks on the sidelines following hernia surgery.

The guy is the reserve team captain and has played in the first team. I reckon he will be at least as good as Whing. Cheer up and look at the bright side.

if he's good enough for Lord Wegner to have him on the books then he's good enough for me and probably better than anything we've got (not that I've seen any of them play so who am I to have a valid comment to make), I've been waiting for this season's gooner influx, bring it on....

Let's face it, it'll go one of two ways.

1) Sidwell = f***ing amazing
2) Barrett = makes barndoor davies look prolific

Excellent news. A couple of points:

- We've needed full backs for weeks. It's a shame it took this long
- The other big thing this defence needs is experience. We'll be error prone until we get someone with 300 games under their belt who can boss them around (a la Morgan, Cullip, Butters etc)

That is all.

I witnessed him play several times last season whilst on loan at Weymouth....and to be honest he didn't look good enough to play Conference football!

I will go with that experience is a lot when you are talking about a defence position.

A big plus is he should be quick enough to tackle hitting the ball rather than the player!

:)
