I've read the whole thread and I am still not sure if the Gavin Hoyte who has joined us has played for Grays or not.

Nope. The Gavin Hoyte that we've signed has played for Arsenal (in the Carling Cup and one or two Premiership games) and a dozen or so games on loan at Watford last year. He is (or at least was, last season) the captain of the Arsenal reserves side.

A young enthusiastic kid signs on loan from Arsenal. He's played for most of the England Unders and yet still people are willing to shoot him down before he has even kicked a ball. Granted some people haven't bothered to read up on him and have just gone on hearsay and are barking up the completely wrong tree, but this sums up some of our support.
