Some obvious trolling of Arsenal fans with the mention of no decent centre backs since Keown et al, plus two Spuds and no Gooners in a 2-2 draw.

Yeah, ok mate...

Made in the context of overhearing an Arsenal fan saying that Jonny Evans is no longer good enough to play for Man Utd. Crooks argues that he was their best player on Saturday in their glorious 1-0 against a promoted team that hasn't won yet this season. Perhaps the Arsenal fan should have been more specific and said that Evans isn't good enough to play for Man Utd, but is easily good enough to play for this Man Utd.

Well, the fat prat got this correct: "they don't seem to be missing Wilfried Zaha. In fact I'm starting to think Palace look better without him." Mind you that was predicted by many years ago. If Beaky wasn't weak as warm piss, he could have got decent money for Dibley and reinvested in the squad.

Worthing
Absolute drivel - barely a sentence on Salah, the rest about Mac Allister and the VAR from last week.

Yep absolute drivel, and no rationale for including Salah in the team of week. No doubt the selection was purely based on:
Salah:

Scored twice
Plays for Liverpool

And Crooks only watched the goals in the game, and has no idea whether Salah deserved his place in team of the week or not.

Crooks is totally biased to the now elite 7. I don't even know why I read the tripe that he writes. But it gives a clue as to what he writes is in tune with footballs hierarchy beliefs in this Country.

I stopped reading when I saw his 'keeper choice. How the one on the losing side last night didn't get the nod, I'll never know.

I honestly thought he'd surpassed himself in the Virgil Van Dyke entry by not even mentioning the player. Then I spotted it, but the justification of the choice of 'the only Liverpool player who brought his A-game' was pretty pathetic. Or, as we now call it, typical Crooks!

Pedro makes the cut this week, before Garth's diplomacy skills lay the groundwork for world peace.

Joao Pedro (Brighton): What a good game this was between Brighton and Nottingham Forest. When you play like Brighton did and win away from home you're entitled to celebrate with your fans. Joao Pedro came on for Ansu Fati after just 21 minutes and changed the game for the Seagulls. A brilliant header and coolly taken penalty by the Brazilian provided the visitors with the points. Steve Cooper was just as unhappy with the result as he was with Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi forgetting to provide a handshake after the game, having got carried away in the euphoria. I'm sure it was nothing personal but a call on Monday morning offering Mr Cooper an apology wouldn't go amiss.
