Short and to the point. Arguably there should be separate threads for comedy sketches and scenes from comedy serials. But that's just me being pedantic.

:lolol:

I was trying to think of my favourite Father Ted moments. I posted the milk float. I nearly posted the lingerie store and kicking Bishop Brennan up the arse and that bit where Father Jack has to say "that would be an Ecumenical matter". However, I totally forgot this. It is comedy gold. Well played.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
We've not had a poll like hardest creature for ages so here goes :

Post links to the best comedy sketch ever and I'll collate a random set of groups for people to vote on. Here's a few I nominate :

Fork Handles - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaGpaj2nHIo

Basil thrashing the car - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mv0onXhyLlE

Baldrick and the named bullet - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKRxX3s3JlM

Nominations close midnight Monday 14th December.
But only Fork Handles is a sketch. The others are just extracts from bigger sit-coms (Fawlty Towers and Blackadder IV), and so are disqualified (as are most of the other nominations on this thread).

Funny they may be - sketches they ain't.

Should some ground rules be laid down here? Surely a sketch is a self contained short story rather than an excerpt from a film or comedy series. They could be the basis of an entirely different competition.
