Yeah I guess so but its always about the angle. From my point of view, society and the common man are very weird stuff doing really weird things. Just as an random example: you vote. You know that whoever you elect and whatever party you go for is going to keep ****ing you over and then you do the same shit four years later again, decade after decade. Complete madness. I'm happily the weirdo.

There's nothing 'mad' about that at all. If that is how you feel about all the parties, then you vote for the party that you think will **** you over the least. At the same time you are free to peacefully protest against the system, or campaign for a change in the system of government / representation if that is your desire.

But not voting at all achieves absolutely nothing.

most people who don't vote and are vocal about not doing so, are full of absolute shit - claiming that it is a protest against the system, when in fact it is because they are too lazy or too thick to make the effort to understand what the various options are offering. Or just too lazy to walk 200 yards to the polls.

It maybe sad that we are all (mostly) robots living a boring existence of working, tv, bed, and repeat but we have a responsibility to provide for ourselves and families. Most people given the choice would not work, or at least would not work in their current profession or for as many hours. We would all like to see more of the family, play a sport or travel the world but money prevents us doing so.

What they are doing is morally wrong - they are stealing a living and society is having to pay for it. The bigger issue are the three children who far from thriving in this relationship are struggling with basic skills, they should be able to go to the toilet at 4 and write at 8 - unless they have problems then I apologise for presuming. If they are to lead productive lives (by normal standards) they obviously need outside help that their parents are not providing. They of course can follow their parents lead thereby creating three further families and a new generation reliant on the state.

Whilst we all maybe too wrapped up in possessions and stuff and slaves to society, I also want the very best for my kid (one only, didnt want to overburden myself or the world with more) and so will ensure he does better than me as I have done better than my father and he better than his father.

 Have you read the start of the thread and watched them on TV etc?
No why the **** would I do that, I have no interest in these people.
Then why the **** are you coming on here and criticising us for criticising them when you don't know anything about it?

Tell me when you raise your pitch forks against the banks, the oligarchs, the big business and I will rage with you
That's basically always happening on NSC.
but this petty little shit that matters none in the big picture, why are people sitting around saying how bad, stupid and ugly they are. Pathetic shit.
If we're all pathetic for sitting around saying how bad it is, what are you for sitting around saying how bad it is that we're doing so?

Have you thought that it is entirely possible to rage against big business, if that is what you want to do, AND those who clearly abuse the system. It is hardly either ..or.

Yeah, I have.

Folks, close your eyes, I'm gonna get weird:

Most people who choose "alternative" lifestyles are incapable of cooping with the society you "normal" people built. They dont see "working at McDonalds" as a reason to get up in the morning, they might have problems with their mental or physical well-being - in short, they might not be able to have a "function" by your standards.

There are three solutions to this:

The NSC solution; raise pitch forks against people because of their lack of function. You know, the eugenic solution.

The socialist solution: we are strong enough as a society to compensate and even help and support the people not able or willing to function.

And finally the "unfortunately your very important function is going to done by a robot or computer in the very near future so you are going to have to accept not everyone will be slaving for 8 hours a day"-solution: realise you already or in the near future have no function as a worker and find yourself other values and be tolerant when others try to.

Personally I'd go with one of the bottom ones. This, in turn, means that your hypothetical or real economical issues could only be resolved by having the 1% richest people sharing their wealth to society and that being mad at some slacker - there's gonna be many - is both unfair against the individual (since there wont be any 100% employment rate without the NSC solution) as well as completely useless as the little money they get really is a piss in the ocean in the bigger perspective.

Because of this reason, yes I find it possible but incredibly stupid and inhuman to treat the little guy as you treat the 1%.

I understand all the hatred, after all they are trying to live a different life compared to almost everyone else; and as we all know, its very dangerous outside the fence. Everyone knows our way of doing it is flawless and very sustainable. Someone should go kill them.

Don’t let vegster see this comment ffs.

I'm not pointing finger at any particular indivdual since how (as said) pathetic, stupid and mean it is; what I oppose is the concept - the mentality - of bashing individuals for doing things that wont really matter and wont harm anyone in the wider perspective. But yeah, I could agree its probably a bit pathetic acting from my side. I'm a bit pathetic sometimes. Luckily, I'm probably not alone in that sense.

Working at McDonalds or engaging in any other unnecessary mass consumption industry/service does absolutely nothing for society or the planet except slowly wearing it down. Also, "something to get out bed for" - you know, me and a lot of other people feel there are greater values than working. Other reasons to live and wake up in the morning.

I have to ask - what do you do for a living that might do something for society ?

That’s how I imagine half of NSC. Esp the wannabe far lefty’s who try to be more Brighton than Brighton itself - particularly those that:

* Said there was no problem with a man in a bondage thong prancing around kids as it was ‘pride’

* Say Sam Smith is gender neutral and should be referred to as ‘them’ because it sounds ultra PC

* Call Tommy Robinson a racist despite not actually listening to his views and the point he makes on terrorists and a religion with a law that preaches nastiness which some follow.

* Stuck up for a trespassing protester who was manhandled out of a Tory dinner because she was a women and it was a man who got her out, and because it was a dinner for knobs (I agree with that bit). Yet also call for pure equality (I agree with that bit too).

* Claimed there was some sort of sexism when people complained at the Albion deliberately misleading fans with their email subjects that were about the less popular women’s team.

There, I said it

This is absolutely the exact same answers I get anytime I say I dont vote.

To me, there is no "least bad option" because just like Oxfam concluded - what you vote for doesnt matter. It doesnt even matter "a little" because the politicans are all working for the oligarchs. Most if not all Western democracies are flawed not as in "bad" or "incompetent", but as in "fake" and "corrupt".

There is no point in voting, but as long as ~80% are buying into it, the show can go on. I refuse to participate. I dont know about others, but I'm certainly not lazy. Rather I find it likely I've put so much time and effort to understand it to realise its just a ****ing show to make you believe you live in a democracy when you're really not.

Like most, my job means exactly nothing for society except creating a bit of pollution and slavery in Asia and Africa.

So who are you to criticize people that work in McDonalds and thus pay tax and NI and therefore pay for this lazy couple despite being low paid ?

Well most people here think that their (the couple in question) children are being harmed. People here would complain if any children were being harmed by their parents.

You seem to have jumped to the conclusion that we're picking on some poor people, but we don't complain about the wealthy. In terms of NSC in general, I'd say you couldn't be further from the truth.

Personally I don't see why they should be immune to criticism when they court publicity and are only poor because they choose to be.

I dont criticize people who work in McDonalds, I just say that they are no better than the people not working at all. Neither am I.

Yeah, if they beat their kids I hope someone intervenes. But in 2019 when people call social services if you let your children go alone to the playground 100 meters (I dont know how much it is in sticks and stones but you get the concept) away, "abusing your children" is just very vague and subjective.

I have no conclusions about NSC in general, too early for me to see any clear structures, but I have a conclusion about this thread and the way people in general act towards people who make odd or weird life choices, and I dont like it - it oozes bitterness.
