Fulham Vs Juventus

Yoda

English & European
Woa, I wasn't even they'd even left the Stadio delle Alpi.

Their new stadium is SHIT. It's of the same class as the likes of Derby, Reading, Leicester, etc. What a load of crap for one of the so called best teams in Europe. :lolol:

That isn't their new stadium. They're groundsharing with Torino at the Stadio Olympico (2006 Winter Olympics) whilst the Delle Alpi is downsized. ;)

Just got back in after going to the game, and having supper afterwards. Superb game, with Fulham definitely deserving their victory. Zamora was excellent, very good goal and setting the second one up. He also ran the Juventus defence ragged. What I noticed was that his all-round game has improved immeasurably since he was with us. Wonderful atmosphere also, with all four stands singing (the away fans were on the side). If we can get anything like that atmosphere going at Falmer, we are in for a treat.

was at the game tonight, other than us beating man city it was the best game i have ever seen in 30 years
Me too. Definitely one of the best games I've seen, and Dempsey's goal is most certainly up in terms of goals I've witnessed in the flesh.

Superb (and slightly surreal) night.

What a fantastic season Fulham are having well worth a visit until we are in the championship again.
A new stadium is no guarantee for success, it may be some time yet before we have built a team to provide the results and standard of play we have waited for.

Without having read through this thread, anyone else thinking back to Middlesbrough's run to the final a good few years ago? How many times did they go 4-1 down on aggregate and then TWONK whoever at the Riverside? Didn't the mighty Roma to fall to them at one point aswell? Amazing match, but Fulham were well worth the win. They tonked Man Utd 3-0, afterall. And they have the almighty Bobby Zamora.

Lest we forget, it was only 13 years ago - the 'Hereford year' - that Fulham were playing in the same bottom drawer division as the Albion (and Wigan and Hull were down there too). Now they're established in the PL and stuffing Juventus in Europe.

Something for us to aspire to maybe? Fulham have proved it can be done and isn't just a fanciful wet dream.
