Fuc*ing Thomsons Fly!

As you may know..I'm currantly working in Madeira,Portugal. I just had my dad & cousin over for a week to visit me.

They had an amazing time....that included boat trips,coach trips,helicopter ride, fire-work displays & meals in the mountains and the usual sun-bathing.

I dropped them at the airport this morning for their 12.30 flight back to manchester to find out that their plane was delayed by 7 fcuking hours..due to the fact that one staff member on the incoming flight was not well and couldnt return on the flight....

Have a flight booked with Thomsons next month though to be honest if thats how they treat their customers then think I might look at swapping or delaying. Surely they should have a spare crew on standby?

At the end of the day.....I dont know all the details...But I bet the guy/Girl hasnt gone to the local hospital!

It does scream amatuar tin-pot outfit....

I Bet they have lied to the guests aswell..saying maintenance problems....I found out the truth because I know all the thomsons reps really well and they informed me what happend!

I would much rather fly in an understaffed plane than have to wait 7 hours or so. It is not as if the cabin crew are there to do anything other than look pretty.

they've had delays coming back from places, i'd rather a delay than them getting sick because someone who shouldn't be flying, was flying.

What strange law that you cant fly without one staff member...seems a little anal to me and I would be going mad if it was me in that situation......

The plane is just sat there....waiting for some queer to be flown over just to fly back and hand out a few plane meals and point at the exits that are there,there and there!

and if the plane got into difficulty and there was a crew member short to help your parents off the plane and they died?

I would imagine it is to do with safety rather than food distribution.

What would happen if a member of staff was taken ill during the flight - then you are down by two staff. There are quotas of on-duty staff for a reason.

You would think that they would send the plane one under-staffed than sit them at the airport for 7 long hours....and its not like being stuck at gatwick either...theres about four shops....nightmare!

Come on BYF if you work at a resort you KNOW that f***ing long delays are all part of Summer flights, especially charter type flights. It happens EVERY year ...alot

If my dad cant get of a plane on his own with out the aid of a gay in a pink uniform then i'd be surprised mate!
