Why do so many people like to gloat and almost celebrate any setback to this project?

Because some people are so f***ing hair-brained it makes my blood boil. For defending the project we are called club-lickers?? WTF is all that about.

This thread is such a load of shit. We may POTENTIALLY be around 2 months behind what was originally said. BIG DEAL, the whole point of this announcement was that the next part of the process, i.e. 3 contractors have been identified, has been started. The original plans said May, now it's only - oh June!!

For you doom-mungers - GET A F***ING GRIP. This project is progressing exactly as it should be!

You openly advertise your allegiance to Forfars. So it is absurd to expect people to read your posts on the stadium issue.

My avatar is in relation to someone accusing me of being the part of the Forfars group. I have maybe shopped in Forfars once or twice in my life and that was many moons ago when I used to work in Brighton. I seem to recall they have/had an outlet in the little arcade that links Churchill Square and Dyke Road, I think I bought a sausage roll once?

If it upsets you my little precious flower I will change it!

Obviously the vast majority of posters on here have an entirely different standpoint to you.

People can have a totally differing opinion to mine, that is their prerogative and I won't think anything less of them for doing so.

It isn't the end of the world but after standing in front of 1000 people at Hove Town Hall a few months back swearing it will start in November it does make the board look a little silly.

They could have just said end of the year!

The big difference between you and almost every other posters is that they don't continually look to snipe at Dick Knight regardless of what the thread topic is. You DO. My opinion is that you have a hidden agenda when it comes to Dick Knight and I reserve my right to respond to your posts in any way I see fit because I believe you are trying to undermine the club. It's like if I were to get, for example, BoF to start a thread backing up my claim that I am the richest man in the whole world. Just because BoF would say that people should believe me doesn't make my claim any more or less true.

The way the sentence is constructed would suggest that Empire is talking about the fact that people are questioning your source and that we should believe you when you say you can't name this source.

Anyway, I very much doubt your Husband's friend is going to sway many opinions!

Question - if you truly believe the allegations that you make against Dick Knight et al, why do you not seek to publicise them by say....going to The Argus and telling them what you know so that they can shame and humiliate DK before a wider audience as the kind of person you claim him to be? Are you perhaps worried that your claims simply will not stand up to research and scrutiny?

If you believe the man is so toxic for the club, then surely you should be doing your utmost to remove him, and that's never going to be achieved by mud-slinging on here, is it?

What exactly was Dick's behaviour when it came to negotiating with Hammond. I have heard one version of events.

Do you think the whole board, including the Blooms who hold more shares than Dick, would stand for this 'corrupt' behaviour you are intimating?

I've worked in project management for building firms, I know these things can get delayed. I am not so blinkered that I expect a lorry to roll on site on the 1st December and the stadium to kick off August 13th 2010. There may well be delays, but that is life.

What I am saying is why can't you let people look forward to the stadium finally coming rather than belittling it all the time.

Of course if you have a memo or a link proving the above wrong please show us all.

Was wondering if someone would post that A LOT MORE POSITIVE article on the OFFICIAL site - which actually shows that we've done very well and a huge boost that we're in the position we're in - as Perry says...
