free travel to Huddersfield?

I have seen this mentioned on ask the club and after finding out it will cost me around 70 quid including 1 ticket would most NSC folk take up the offer?

This potentially could be a staying up/relegation deciding game but only a small number of fans have the money to get there. I will phone in after the game on saturday and hopefully they will have Dick Knight on at Harty's request and see what his reaction is.

So would everyone take the offer up and brave the 5 hour journey?

Im planning on getting a train which costs 70 quid if the club did it im sure we would get ALOT Of people taking advantage of it

The cheapest way we found for the train was £35 from London to Manchester picadilly return.

Then have to add on Manchester to Huddersfield bit, and Brighton to London bit, which will add on another £20 to the journey

Free coach would be good, but its a hell of a long way to be on a coach

Hmm...
We could combat this by taking a hot tub on board and having a pool party??:nono:

Looked at train and found its very expensive, if the coach is free i would consider, but we'll probably just drive up.

you can do it by national express for about £23.00, failing that mega bus??

So you the club should put it's hand in it's pocket every time the team needs support? To the cost of thousands?

I dont think that's a fair. People have made journeys out of there own pockets to places like Carlisle and Hartlepool this season and the club hasn't helped, rightly so. But we are in such dire circumstances, they really need are support and the football isn't great and who will fork out 70 or 80 quid to watch league 1 football?

It is circumstances like these that there should be free travel, not every game just once or twice a season. they have seen how many people take up the deals so why not do it again.

Free travel, plus an overnight stop in a Travel Inn and a voucher for a cooked breakfast the next morning. Then I might consider it.

If you would have got train tickets in January you could have got them for £20.

But now is the time the team need as many of us to get behind them as is possible and the best way to do this is free travel:thumbsup:

I know what youre getting at and half agree with you, but given the absolute dross that has been played out on the field this season, that people have paid good money to watch (the quality of which has been down to the club remember), in a way its the least they can do.

I myself would rather walk to a game or not go (at the moment most definately the latter) than go by official club transport, free or otherwise, but thats just me.

Any chance of organising a coach?

I asked the question, I still think it would be a good idea. I would snap up the offer straight away, I want to go but can't afford it. It might have been a little bit cheeky to ask, but hey, you don't ask, you don't get!...
