Agree to a degree. Reading however proved it's not how you start but how you finish that is more important.

Sounds about right for us and Palace...not sure about Bolton top though!

I like the look of Bolton and Blackburn,
.... made some good signings... and have a big Prem record, experience and more importantly funding.

I'm fairly sure Huddersfield will do better than 18th.

The bottom six clubs in the list are going to struggle , apart from that the other 18 sides are battling for the top 6 places.

Warnock said last night that Leeds have no money to spend and have to sell players - they'll be bottom half

The Racing Post has a free 72-page guide to the new 2012-13 season today.

They tip Cardiff City (12/1) and Hull City (28/1) each-way.

Not much of a write up on Brighton; the only comment is The Seagulls fell away after a bright start last season ending up nine points outside the play-offs. Tomasz Kuszczak's arrival will strenghthen the goalkeeping position and may help Brighton to get closer to the top six.

I havent seen one prediction anywhere that doesnt have Bristol City relegated. I spoke to 2 Bristol city fans this week who both said they have strengthened well and are looking for mid table at least

Bolton have got a young Arsenal forward on loan who seems quite good. Apart from that they are super debt ridden and not very good (witness their recent loss to Pompeyscum).

I think we will finish 4th.

Oh and who are Palace?

and if it's the same situation against Hull ? a match is a match after all .

Well, Hull will be a competitive match, so immediately it's a different situation. You've got to say there's a good chance of at least TWO of Lua Lua, Buckley and CMS being available by then, so quite different I would say.

I understand your overall point, but we have definitely improved the starting 11 since last season, by quite some way I would say.

Brez >>> Kuszczak
Painter/Mattock >>> Bridge
Calderon >>> Bruno
Navarro >>> Crofts

That WILL have a knock on effect to our attacking capabilities.

If we get the two strikers, we desperately need. Then I think 5th is very realistic for us this season. At the moment, we are just short of where we want to be at the moment.

Blimey we need TWO strikers now do we?

i think blackburn & bolton will go up comfortably, with blackpool, birmingham us for the last spot

surprise teams could be burnley & charlton

wolves & watford could go either way with their new managers

don't think millwall will go down

i think huddersfield,peterboro & barnsley will struggle

Agree Leeds far to high. Blackburn will all come down to if the new players gel. Could be much higher, could all go horribly wrong too though

Surprised at people tipping Huddersfield to be near the bottom. They're spending plenty of money- OK, some has gone on crap like Sean Scannell, but they're heavily linked to some very decent players too. McCormack being one of them. That would piss Leeds right off.

Tell that to Hinshelwood...

Gutted. I was checking the rest of the thread to make sure nobody else replied that. You and I are enemies until the end from the moment on. This just got serious.
I think Bolton will be play-off bound. Leeds 2nd?! Ambitious, even for Leeds fans.
