You dont think muslims percieve western forces occupying Islamic countries as 'christian'?

So Muslim countries are allowed to think in terms of religious forces acting against them but you don't like Goldstone drawing the equal but opposite conclusion? And the problem is countries not religions unless it's the West.

Interesting logic.

My perception doesnt really mattter in the scheme of things. Muslims, consider western forces, occupying Islamic countries as Christian... sorry...just how it is.
An army from a Christian country is considered Christian...?..
Goldstones assertion that all the problems are due to 'muzzies' is a bit ridiculous. Its due to a whole heap of things, many instigated by non Islamic countries.

Wriigling a bit here Dave, your assertions a becoming more diluted as the thread progresses.

I am reminded of the Oosalum bird of Carry on up the Jungle fame, its near extinction reputed to be as a result of circular motion, ending up somewhere dark...... Look it up if you don't recall it Dave.

Who is wriggling? I have no power over the foreign policy of western countries, or the feelings of Islamic countries...
The worlds problems, are not because of 'muzzies'....as Ive said, its because of a variety of reasons, many due to outside interference.

Anyway, as much as I love the subject, im off home...take care...Never was a fan of 'Carry On' films...but in that vein...check under the bed for a mad mullah ;-D

It's quite clear from reading this that the world's problems are caused by religion.

Smart intelligent people would ditch their religious beliefs and become atheists.

Mind you, we'd probably then have the Sunni Atheists killing the Shiite Atheists and vice versa.

Smart, intelligent and TOLERANT RELIGIOUS people (because that is what it is supposed to be about, whether Christian, Islam or whatever else) would actually bring an end to the world's problems.

But that is pie in the sky and I know it, so in the meantime I will just let atheist bigots think they know what is best.

And at the same time, I have to acknowledge that by no means all atheists are bigots.

Well, I would say its a civil war in Iraq (that was long predicted after the fall of Saddam, that Saddam kept a lid on) between two branches of Islam..a bit like catholics and protestants..., why do we even have troops in Afghanistan? Its Americas war, not ours....

If "your" country is part of NATO, then it is "your" war.

Earlier this year a religious extremist was convicted of hacking to death a British woman with a machete. The horrific murder CLEARLY proves that his religion is one of violence, and that all those who share his religion should be kicked out of the country. The holy buildings of this religion should clearly all be attacked, or at least protested against too.

He was a white Christian, btw, who claimed he was sent to commit the murder as "an angel of Jesus Christ".

Come on everyone, gather the EDL and let's go hit the churches.

What's that, this case doesn't count? Why?

Noticeable lack of Americans in the Falklands.

I fought alongside 2 British Muslims down there.
Not sure what, if any, relevance this has to the thread...just thought I'd mention it

Alternatively the west could work towards being energy independent.

See how foreign policies would change then.

But in Iraq right now it's Sunnis murdering Shiites and Shiites murdering Sunnis. Is that what Islam preaches? Murder thy fellow Muslim if you don't like his version of the religion?

Frankly the country was a lot better off under Saddam.

So basically the Islamic equivalent of The Troubles. Religion and land combining in effectively civil war. Only difference is The Troubles were 'Christians'

Who is benefitting???......we are all benefitting, north south east and west all buy and use the oil, you have a habit of missing the vital bits of info out. Info such as every nation of all political and religious standpoints exploit the oil in the middle east, all of them. .....AND those oil producing nations benefit from the vast we health generated as a result. There may be questions over how that wealth is distributed internally in those countries, but what is a certainty, is that in fifty Yeats when viable oil production starts to slow and stop.....and technology gives us another power source, those middle east boom towns will once again start to return to the desolate dust bowls they once were,,....only this time the residents of these countries will start to migrate north and west......something I believe Nostradamus was said to have predicted in one of his translations.

1) It is not going to take fifty years for oil to stop, the wheels are coming off now. North Sea is 64% down from peak,
regardless of what Cameron and his cronies are gabbling on about re growth.
2) What technology is going to compensate or even come close to the energy density of oil? Are you talking about unobtanium?
3) In what Century (verse) did Nostrodamus predict people fleeing the middle east? Think you reading something that not there, or has been culled from ambiguous nonsense.
