agree with that, players come and go, always have and always will. If Forster doesn't want to play for us anymore then fair enough, f*** him, move on.

all this boo f***ing hooing over one player is pathetic.

Not when paying fans want to watch him, he's the best player in the team and, f*** me, I believe we're IN A RELEGATION fight and need our TOP goalscorer! Christ, you'd have argued with Reginald Mitchell over a 2% payrise......

[QUOTE Tell that to the rest of the Falmer For All team kid, and I guarantee you'll get tarred and feathered for being such a young upstart and rightly so. .....[/QUOTE]

I can't begin to tell you how angry this makes me feel. All those bloody marches, meetings, distributing leaflets, letters written and petitions signed that they duped us poor sods into. Meanwhile Tim and his crack troops were secretly out there tarring and feathering our enemies.

One day this true history of the Falmer struggle will have to be told and surely Mr Portlock you are the man to recount this for us. Just remember this thread is worthless without pictures.

Right, so because I'm younger than you, your support is more important. Brilliant. Add that to the, frankly, ridiculous comments you made in that post and you've got a real chip on your shoulder there. Clearly, you should be old enough to know better.

I'm normally quite polite to you, but you need to take your head out of your arse on this one. TCB has already said it STOP LECTURING OTHER FANS ABOUT THEIR SUPPORT. It's might not matter tomorrow night how long you've been a fan in terms of money to the club or noise from the stand, but I'm pretty sure 10, 20, 30, or 40 years more than you of following Albion needs to count for something.

Show some respect to people who have been there and done it, seen us in the glory days and are still here after the years of total shite without a home.

Difference of opinion = fine

Getting all superior over people who were following the club before you were born = twat

See what I mean? "you" just can't help yourselves can you? Mock mock and mock again. Impossible to walk on without being smart-arsed or just being silently grateful. Even that's beyond you. And of course, if someone pulls you up on it, then you pull a knife :lolol:

Oh really do grow up. Well done, I'm genuinely very grateful that yourself and many others did so much to help save our club. I can't help the fact that I am younger than you, however, and you seem insistent that your status of having been alive before the likes of myself gives you some kind of elevated importance. Surely your reason for helping save the club should have been because it's a football club you love, not because you think 13 years down the line it'll automatically make your opinion more valid than someone else's and give you a free stick to beat them with?

And I think that is what concerns me. We are in no position to take the higher moral ground. Frankly with Forster I thought we had a good chance of rising to halfway. Without him it surely makes the task much harder. I really don't know whose fault it is, I could argue either way, but it just needs sorting out. We have two good strikers who score goals Forster and Murray. We need both. The others are all tryers who do their best, but have absolutely no record of scoring goals at this level. And that is it in a nutshell I am afraid!

Giraffe, once again, you are THE voice of reason. Well said chap.

Acting all superior to other supporters makes you a twat whether you have been following the Albion 100 years or since Villa. Both of the extremes in this debate are being very stupid. There is no need to personally insult anyone whether they were there in the dark days or not. As you admit you saw the glory days, some of these kids have never had better than Championship football. My prime of watching the Albion was the end of the Goldstone and Priestfield years, does this make me better than others? No, it does not.

How many people are going to have a go at someone for criticising other people's level of support, and then in the same post go on to do exactly the same thing? This evening has been a right binfest

Why are you even getting involved? You've wadded in, clumsily, when you should have kept your size nines to yourself. But since you now have, the argument I was having with the other 2, but 1 in particular, is that they absolutely have no place to "advise" me on the point of supporting Albion given they only just remember who BZ was. It's not about being "alive" longer and that gives me some "elevated importance". But if a 23 year old walks into a bar of older men spouting off then they're going to listen to him only if he talks sense and a bit of respect goes a long way. Otherwise he's going to get taken to task if he gets cocky or talks a load of s***. All I've done here, so don't have a chip about it. Or angry. Just don't do it, or if you do, show some respect. Or talk sense. Or incur some wrath! Now, as I said previously, can we get back to NF debate - it's going to damage the coffers I reckon and needs resolving FAST - regardless of who's at fault.

But you've enjoyed it, go on, admit it. You were watching Glee otherwise.

I literally cannot fathom the point you are trying to make. My view is that age really doesn't matter (perhaps except when selecting sexual partners), but yours is obviously different, and you feel it is acceptable to talk down to anyone younger than yourself, as you have just done. Well done for that. Perhaps next time you can spell 'waded' correctly as well?

For what it's worth, I don't think the Forster situation will affect the gates. I do think it harms our chances of staying up though, and it has been handled badly by all concerned - particularly as the club still seem completely reluctant to acknowledge that something has happened.

Edit: I will also add that I think people will get 'taken to task' for being cocky or talking shit regardless of their age.

Seriously chaps. You'll read this thread in a few days and be as bemused as i am now.

Yes, the river has flooded a couple of adjacent meadowsalong the way, but it's course still holds true. Or do you think dropping our top stricker in a relegation battle will have a positive outcome in the long-run?

I never saw the glory days  I started in 1992 which was all downhill from there :lolol: I just mean that anyone who was there cirtainly has something over me, not a more valid opinion by any means, but it should count for something. NE has a cirtain annoying tone to his posts sometimes, he needs to realise that he might be wrong somtimes, even when he's not (if that makes sense)

As it happens I agree that it's not the end of the world about Forster, I'm not telling him to f*** off by any means as the whole situation is unfortunate and we need his goals, but I blame him for leaking stuff to the press. That said, if we go down I'll still be here.
