Though up to 1976 our shorts were mainly white.Who?, Aldershot?, yes they were! ... Sorry couldn't resist it.
The problem comes from a misrepresentation of Albion kits in the book 'Club Colours' by Bob Bickerton, which created or perpetuated a myth that we had red, blue and white stripes in the 1920s:
Because it was the only book about kits in history at the time, many took the information straight from there.
