For anyone with Seagulls Player...........

..........who is disappointed with the meagre offering of match highlights from Saturday could I suggest having a look at the fourteen minutes of match highlights on Bristol City Player rather than bothering with the 4 minutes or so we are offered for the same money.................... not for the first time this season the disparity is enormous.

The reason that we are comparatively shortchanged every week? No idea other than to assume that whoever is responsible for taking the same source data for Albion fans as every other club in the championship just can't be arsed

edit: sorry just found two threads on this on ATC - no problem with it being separate but makes cross-referencing tricky for us numbskulls!

Forest dub theirs with their local commentary and have line ups displayed on the screen pre match. Ours is very disappointing in comparison.

It was the same last year, teams in the same league getting a better service and an assumption things would improve with better camera coverage in a higher league. I think Charlton last year had the extended highlights and full match replays. I know you can log into other players but I should not have to. I want full game replays and extended highlights too. Has someone signed the club up to the cheaper crapper package?

Can't open it either - not something that has happened before so hopefully they will reload it and then it will work.

One of the problems with Player is that there isn't really anywhere to inform when it goes wrong or ask questions regarding shortcomings that I can see although I recall in the old days when there were sound problems on the live commentary some on here knew how to get hold of them quickly to put it right.

Glad I am not the only one thinking this. Cardiff had 15 minutes extended highlights as well. No idea why we seem to get crappy highlights. If someone comes up with an email address , we can all complain.

Barnes interview doesn't work on player , but the iPhone football league app uses player, and it works fine. Can't understand that.

Highlights, is it each club that selects them, or is there an independent doing it?

I doubt its anything to do with not being arsed. Will be man power. Suspect our guys are tied up trying to finish off the Withdean Years dvd.

The clubs who have extended highlights will be doing it off their own back, and I suspect with away games it may not be easy for the Albion to quickly obtain the footage to edit anyway. With regards to the home games though and all the cameras we have on match days now it would be cool to see that in a highlights package.

Yes the quality sucks, Big time. Even in the small window its poor. On full screen on my MAC , it is totally unwatchable. HD my arse.

It is exactly the same footage from the same camera source so no reason it would be more difficult for one club to obtain than another - to my (untutored) eye it looks like it is pre-edited into action sets so the job seems to be one of deleting what is shown rather than any editing. There is an overdubbed commentary which sounds like it is added by the individual clubs
