...assuming it allows 3rd party apps. Remember, the ones foe the iPhone are hacks, not applications. Apple does not allow third party applications.

And a modern PDA -has- to do email to be thought of as a PDA. This, well, doesn't. And it has a capacity that was seen as anaemic years ago.

Seems a bit of a backwards step only having 8/16Gb versions. Surely with all the extra functionality you want to have plenty of space to store our media.

agreed, they have obviously done their research though the LOCKED iPhone in America is selling about 4 to 1 against the unlocked version so bizarrely it seems there is a hude demand for this kinda device !!!

Wise words. First the backward shitarse Iphone and now this. Apple are going to lose market share very quickly IMO.

Thats entirely different to what you said. Whats more accurate is that 3 in 4 iPhone purchasers have not signed an AT&T contract - they may instead be using a pre-existing AT&T SIM, or have sold them via eBay to Dwanker and chums.

Says the man who can't capitalise or use basic punctuation. What you initially said had NO RELATION to what you meant. As goes getting laid, I've no problems in that department, thanks. You might want to stop wanking over your iPod though, it'll spoil the finish.

Personally, I'd go for a Creative brand mp3 player (I have a 30GB Vision:M variety at present) over an iPod or any variation thereof any day of the week, but that's just me.

Cool as the Touch looks, 16GB is pretty useless.

Gonna get one of those new 'classic' ones though. 160GB is shit load of porn for those long plane journeys.

You say that, but you can get about 3000 songs on 16GB, should last a while. If it's movies then you'll get a few on there, you can only watch one at a time.

Out of interest, anyone know of an application to allow me to remove the copy protection so I can rip my DVDs to MP4?

Now that I stop and think about it, you're right, 16GB isn't all that bad really! Thing is, I reckon the technophiles who are gonna want one most are the people who have 80GB iPods already full to bursting. I know my 20GB is getting there, and that's not a video one.
