Football stadiums in nice locations

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Halifax was the only ground I've ever been to where you could watch the game from the away end sitting on the grass having a picnic half way up the hill (if it was sunny).

Both the Old Den with a public area in the south and the Goldstone (gardens of private houses) you could see for free.

My vote goes to Withdean as the most scenic (surroundings) in the top four divisions.

the millenum stadium, cardiff.

granted on two sides there is cardiff, inhabited exclusively by psychopathic chip-on-shoulder wankers.

But on the other two sides is a river and a rather nice park.

Toulouse - on an island in the river Garonne.

Olympic Stadium in Barcelona - majestically sits on Montjuic hill overlooking the city.

Another vote for Fulham.

And anyone who thinks Port Vale's location is worse than Luton's

As a few people have mentioned Wycombe: I noticed in the Football LEague Paper today that their chairman is at a fairly advanced stage of planning for a new stadium, to be shared with Wasps.

Jesus, some of us have to wait decades to get permission to build one new stadium. Wycombe only built Adams Park in 1990- is that not just plain GREEDY to be thinking about another one so soon? What's wrong with AP anyway, I've always quite liked it. Shame about the terrible access, but as a stadium it's tidy and compact.

As Falmer is a Community Stadium what others clubs/sports will be played there?

Nuffink like a bit of diversity, I wonder how long it will take before Whitehawk ask for a groundshare?
