Take me Home Falmer Road
"To hell with Aston Villa
To hell with Notts Countee
For we'll fight, fight, fight for the Albion
'til we win Division 3"
Remember it well
Ha ha. I sang “Farewell to ......”
"To hell with Aston Villa
To hell with Notts Countee
For we'll fight, fight, fight for the Albion
'til we win Division 3"
Remember it well
"In your *Northern* slums" still applies in a few places but not half as widely as it did.
Really? It seems to have become a lot worse."In your *Northern* slums" still applies in a few places but not half as widely as it did.

Potentially quite divisive, but the songs we still sing which reference the Goldstone, are they redundant now?
Brighton Aces is probably the most obvious one. We DON'T 'Go Down The Goldstone Ground' to see the Brighton Aces anymore, not matter how painful that is.

*It's The Old Shoreham Road isn't it?
I see no problem, still, with "walking down the Shoreham Road" which was the lyric I always remember.
The song I find least likely to be on the jukebox of recapitulation, however, is the one with 'widdle' and '****' in it. Seemed a bit unsavoury to me even at the time.
"You're going home in a Sussex ambulance" is now "You're going to be on hold to NHS 111 until your mobile battery goes flat."

Build a bonfire has been obsolete for over twenty years now. Thank f*ck.
Surely that was “wiggle”
