I heard this one argued on Talksport a few months ago, the debate was between Arsenal and Port Vale

I believe Port Vale is the correct answer since they play in Burslem, Stoke.

Arsenal were named after Woolwhich Arsenal and even after their move, the name still reflects a specific place.

The name Port Vale exists on maps predating the formation of the club in 1876, and is a reference to a valley of ports on the Trent and Mersey canal, associated with the city's pottery industry.
Arsenal is the correct answer , The name Arsenal has never been spotted on a map in England let alone London, Yes you are correct about why they were called Arsenal, but Arsenal are! the only club with a name with no association with any geographical place to history........unless you want to start adding in all their old names, unlucky.

The club joined the Football League in 1893, starting out in the Second Division, and won promotion to the First Division in 1904. However, the club's geographic isolation resulted in lower attendances than those of other clubs, which led to the club becoming mired in financial problems and effectively bankrupt by 1910, when they were taken over by Henry Norris. Norris sought to move the club elsewhere, and in 1913, soon after relegation back to the Second Division, Arsenal moved to the new Arsenal Stadium in Highbury, North London; they dropped "Woolwich" from their name the following year.
So am I right in suggesting Woolwich is now no longer part of the geographically recognised name of Arsenal?
