I was convinced my computrer wouldn't handle it but..... pc benchmark says it will.... so

HELP!

According to pc benchmark my Intel Core i5-8350U and Intel UHD Graphics 620 are enough to cover for AMD Athlon 64 FX-51 and AMD GeForce 9600M GT.

Is this true?

FM is designed in such a way that it could play on a pretty low-end PC; you'd just have to trade off some things like not being able to utilise the 3D match engine and having fewer players / leagues loaded into the game database.

All of it is customisable in the game and you get a handy '5 star' rating of how your PC would hypothetically perform.

But as Swanny says, try the demo. No sense dropping £40 on something you may not enjoy fully.

I am enjoying FM22 so far. No relegation battles as yet but for some reason have a few bogie teams that I cant get any points from so I end up in 8th or 9th.

Anybody else frustrated by all the Press and Staff meetings that keep cropping up?

Dont have FM 2022 but thinking it might not be a lot different from FM21: surely you can change how often these meetings happen somewhere (Preferences, I think)?

I'm in my third season now, finished 8th then 7th, won the FA Cup first season and lost in the Europa League final in the second, so it's Conference League for us this season. I do think I've finally cracked it though and we'll be top 4 this season, I splashed £75m on Calvert-Lewin in the summer which is proving a good investment thus far. Only disappointing result so far was a 0-0 at Selhurst against newly-promoted Palace...

I delegate all press to my assistant and just ask for a summary of weekly meetings to go to my inbox, I'll take the 'poor media handling' tag over clicking through press conferences every 30 seconds.

Started as Victor San Marino in the Italian 5th divisions. Gonna give the San Marino challenge another go.

I always start my Brighton game after I'm bored of a Beta game and when the iteration has had a couple bug/exploit fixes. Eastbourne doing well though came 1st first season after bringing in a new defense, but then been stuck in VNL with clubs like Wrexam spending 6 times my wages plus loads of transfer budget and 'pulling power' compared to my zero. The couple of teams who drop down always seem to include one power-house and one who's easy to beat, but with only one auto promotion it's tough. So far been 12th, 4th (lost first round playoff and final of FA Trophy), 2nd (and won FA Trophy, lost playoff final and was also top for 39 of the 46 games but my team went to pot as soon as they needed a point to secure playoffs, they lost 4 and drew 1 out of 5..... we lost 5 games total all season). This season am finally predicted mid-table having been tipped to batte against relegation all the other seasons despite history and am currently top after 30 games but jittery and not used to being stuck at a level this long. 6 point buffer with 16 games to play. Still can't sign a great striker but had the rest of the team sorted for a long time very much in a brighton mould 3-4-3 retain possession.

DETERMINATION - little trick that's intended apparently not an exploint but choose how much to use it as been in lots of versions and isn't 'new'. When a player is bad and gets a 6.4 match rating or below, fine him 1/2 week's wages for poor performance. You have about a 50% chance that one of his workrate or determination (occasionally both) will increase as he wants to work harder and not get fined. I believe it's a better chance if the player respects you and has a good personality type (maybe up to about 65/70% is my guess but largely just feeling and could still be 50) or I've had players I wanted it to happen to who felt like they'd only improve one every 6 times it happened. My guess is there's a bit of a bell curve to the determination where the players already on 17/18 are harder to improve much like the players down at 2/3. But you can get 2 points of determination a season from it if lucky which adds up over time.

Only read about the fining a days' wages thing recently, it's brilliant! I don't think I've ever dished out a fine for a poor performance unless it was like a 6.0 or below before but I'm dishing them out left, right and centre now and the team is loving it.

Must-sign players from my save so far:

Nathan Collins, Burnley. HGP and a machine at CB. £20m relegation release clause, or it was in my save at least. Scores goals for fun from corners as well with a near post tactic.

Benjamin Sesko, RB Salzburg. Guy is a cheap Haaland. Will be World Class by 23.

Francisco Conceiçaõ, Porto. Signed for £20m to replace Trossard, who I sold to Newcastle for £30m. Better than him in every department and only 20. Average rating above 8.0 after first 15 games for me.

Karim Adeyemi, RB Salzburg- Obviously not a secret as he was amazing last year, but he is even better this year. World Class within a few years at RW or ST, will inevitably leave you for around £100m though, all the big clubs are sniffing around atm.

Victor Kristiansen, FC Kobenhavn- May not be an immediate starter but a brilliant option at LB or LWB who has a lot of potential.

Arthur Theate, Bologna/Oostende. I'd never heard of this guy but he is proving to be a brilliant option at CB.

Any tips for setting up the scouts to look at players thoroughly and quickly other than the 'prioritise assignment' option on FM21 which only seems to be able to handle one player at a time? I seem to be awash with reports of limited scope and if I earmark a target, they'll probably be old enough to retire before I get any helpful guidance!

I couldn't get the 3 back to work properly, so colour me impressed Swansman. Did you sign Ben White back or are you on FM21?

I'm using a 4-1-2-3 with two complete wing-backs on attack (still Lamptey and Cucu), a half back, two mezzalas and two inside forwards, seems to be doing the trick atm. Currently top of the league on GD ahead of Liverpool with 29 games gone in my third season after a 7th then an 8th place finish. FA Cup quarters v Palace and a Conference League quarter coming up.

Moder is my star man in the middle, absolute machine, and Teddy Jenks has just broken into the first team. Not sure he has the potential to be a regular starter despite being 'dubbed the next Frank Lampard' but he is a good enough squad player.

I feel like using near post corners and sticking Nathan Collins and Calvert-Lewin there is a bit of an exploit though, we've netted from 18 of them this season...

Also, Erling Haaland has 38 league goals in 25 games for Man City after netting 37 last season :moo:

I'm still on FM21. My computer is barely surviving the game so not going to get a new FM until I have a new comp.

Playing three at the back in most away games and against tough opponents, otherwise doing something of 2-4-4 (or 4-4-2 / 4-2-4 depending on how you see it, two central defenders, two attacking wing backs, two cms, two wingers and two strikers). I have made a rule for myself where I can max sign 1 player per season so most of my team is original brightoners.

DIdnt win the CL the season after the Europa League win though : ( Beat Real Madrid in the quarter finals but Liverpool beat us in the semis and sacrificed the league to get the most out of those games, ending up 11th so no Europe for me next season. Dunk also decided to go to Torino so I had to waste my only summer signing on a new captain, 39 year old James Milner... ship might be sinking! If I had managed to get to Europe I could have signed Harry Kane for £50m instead... bit bitter about that.

Jenks is really nice on FM 21 as well. Unfortunately I messed up the development of my midfielders by trying to give equal play time to Caicedo, Jenks, Molumby and White (who is too short to play defender in FM21 as I see it).

Hope you get that league title!

If anyone is buying it this year, we start with the 2nd highest transfer budget after Man City. TB has been very generous and given you a £70m starting budget.

Higher than Real Madrid and PSG.
