Now promoted I can only find dross who are decent in the Championship, not sure my scouts are doing a very good job TBH. The 20m doesn't stretch very far.

Jorge Galan is available on a free at the end of the first season and is a useful option upfront. Finishing, pace, acceleration all at 15, off the ball 14 and composure and first touch 13

In the game, is the Amex just a generic stadium, or do they try to base stadiums like their real life models?

All stadiums are generic but there's various models which work off how recently the ground was built etc so our's looks okay.

The dugout is on the opposite side of the pitch to the TV camera, which irritates me slightly!

My OCDness can't take it, I just switch the camera around in the settings during a game.

I'd be interested in anyones ideas on who to sign during the first year in the premier league once promoted in the first year with Brighton.

Getting promoted was a breeze as we have in every position someone that can be considered a leading star, Augustein and Orlandi were my star players along with Buckley and Plenas or whatever he's called from Barca B. Playing a 4-1(DM)-4-1

Now promoted I can only find dross who are decent in the Championship, not sure my scouts are doing a very good job TBH. The 20m doesn't stretch very far.
Adan, decent goalkeeper.

I signed Nils Texiera on a free after first season. Really good left back. Also got keeper called Samir Ujanski who I came across by accident when koosh got long term injury and quickly loaned a keeper a day before the deadline.

Try and exploit the "free" transfer market too as after January, you can offer contracts to foreign players who will then join you at the start of the next season. There is still a fee but its more like 300k which if your going for a 15M player then its a massive bargain.

You can do the same for domestic players from the beginning of June too. At both times you must be on the ball to offer contracts too before their current club offers a new contract or other clubs try and steal them from you. They dont always join whoever pays the most wages either.

This is my plan of action as well. About 90% of my players ill get on free(ish) transfers bang on Jan 1st and see them come to the club in the summer.

Did you download the lower leagues database or just add MO to the Skrill?

Yes, I downloaded the lower league database, started with £0 transfer budget and £0 wages (obviously)

I had 1 goalkeeper in the squad, all other players were grey, I managed to sign some CM on a £30 a week contract but unable to sign anyone else, so I had to offer lots of grey youth and reserve players contract (they were better options than the grey players in the 1st team) so fingers cross I can make a good tactic soon.

Yep couple of my FB are doing much better now. The youth guy out on loan to skrill south changed from 6.3 average over 6 or 7 games to start the season to in his last 10 he has 6 goals and a 7.87 rating......... hmmmmm think there WAS a bug?

I got a little run going of 5 wins but then drew 4, lost 1 and only won 2 since (plus won an easy cup game) so am wallowing midtable. Skrill Prem in my first season up (2nd in game) seems tighter than the real life Championship except for 2 at the top and 3 at the bottom. 19 teams within like 6 or 7 points, 3rd to 20th middle of December.

I have 4 players predicted to grow into leading L1 players but they have to actually develop whilst club do with crap facilities and loosing money. Includes a Greek/Aussie striker and a Canadian LW who's playing for the Italy Under 19s. We got an extra 1000 standing places (I think rather than seats) added to stadium for us by the ever so wise board despite being like 25% full already in the higher league and having by far the lowest attendances in the Skrill Prem :( Expecting this to be a little harder than usually is with Eastbourne/Lewes/Hinkley

I didn't download the link from online, if you go on steam then search 'lower leagues' in the fm workshop, it'll come up then just subscribe to the person who made it then load up FM as usual, at the main menu click downloads & then install it, start a new game but you need to edit the database which only takes a few clicks.

Has anything of note happened outside of your own team in the game?

In mine, Man Utd sacked Moyes in January of the first season, sitting 13th in the table. They hired Antonio Conte who took them to 7th place and six games into the second season United are 16th in the league, three points behind my Brighton team.

Could the unthinkable happen? In an old FM I remember seeing Liverpool get relegated in the second season, having lost their key players, had injuries to others and a manager insistent on playing a formation that didn't suit

In mine Gus got sacked by Sunderland, OG got sacked by Brighton. Oscar then took over at Sunderland only to get sacked a few months later.

Gus got sacked in mine too, not sure where he ended up but he was replaced by Martin O'Neill. OG, a free agent after I became Brighton manager, took charge at Millwall halfway through the season. Holloway somehow found himself at Everton after Martinez got the boot

In an FM12 game I'm playing, Martin O'Neill's last season in management saw him win the Champions League with Bayern Munich, having won the German title the previous year.

David James took over as chairman of Tranmere on mine in FM12 which was weird.

Gus is in ninth after 10 games with Huddersfield in the Championship (I'm in October 2017), and Oscar is 7th in the Championship with Villa after getting sacked by Burnley and getting Birmingham relegated from the Championship :lolol:

Man United sold Zaha to PSG for £17 million then bought him back the next season for £40 million which is quite amusing and Sunderland are in the League One relegation zone with Clinton Morrison as their manager :lolol:

Poyet took them down and got the sack in the summer, replaced by Paul Ince in May 2014, sacked in December 2014, then in came Martin O'Neill, no promotion, sacked in summer, then Martin Jol came in, no promotion, left the club in the summer, then Henning Berg came in, sacked in February and then there was Morrison who took them down to League One and has guided them to a mighty 8 points from their first 9 games :lolol:

This is my first season in the same division as Palace as well which should be good. Simon Grayson is their manager and they're on 3 points from 6. Holloway walked away in December and O'Neill took them down before getting sacked in September 2014 and evidently taking the Sunderland job.

It's £20 on amazon now, is it worth buying? First year I haven't bought it on day of release for a very long time.
