I think a like for like Biss replacement is a good idea and this is the man I want.

No idea on this guys quality but i like the idea of signing a specialist defensive mid. We have a lot of attacking options this season, some young/inexperienced at Prem level (Enciso, Sarmiento, Mitoma), and so having that safety net behind them will be a good thing. It may also allow them to play with a bit more freedom going forward rather than constantly worrying about getting caught out defensively.

Yeh, and I'm not totally sold on the idea of MacAllister taking on the role that Bissouma was playing last season (though would love to be proved wrong). Lallana would be my choice out of the current squad to take that position on, but the idea of signing a specialist makes total sense to me

DM is a real combative roll, Adam would be injured within 2 games. Ally Mac is a fighter but slightly diminutive in stature and gives away too many free kicks just out side the box. We need this guy or another suitable Biss replacement.

Lallana? Great skills but lightweight, there is no way he could play the Biss role imo. Mac has got the combative attitude you’d expect of an Argentinian and Scot now and an eye for a through ball. I’ll hang my hat on him being up to it

As an aside he does make me laugh when he speaks, he looks like he should be speaking like a sweaty but speaks like a Latin
