Drew,

Ever done any martial arts (to a high level)?

WTF has that got to do with it. I have played various sports and have always played in the spirit of the game. To what level have you competed and have you ever seen a competitor in any sport, including your high morals martial arts, not accept a victory when awarded it by the judges. Oh and I'm not interested in a friendly bout at your local club, I mean when there is a medal or championship at stake.

Anyone who knows me will tell you I don't cheat at whatever sport I played. All I am saying is that the chinese competitor did not cheat, unless of course she herself had bribed/influenced the judges which I very much doubt. I cannot believe how high the horse is that both you and US seem to be riding. You two are so pious you beat the Pope (and all his predecesors) into second place.

Not really, personally If I won something knowing I had done so by cheating by default, the Chinese girl knew she had lost as her head almost got taken off I would feel a bit cheap and it would be a hallow victory, if you wouldn't fair enough

I can't really be arsed to keep arguing especially as you seem to have God, Allah, Jehovah and who else on your side.

just interested, the Chinese girl knew she had cheate by default, she knew she should not have gone through, she knew she should have been out of the tournament, if she went on to win Gold, knowing that would make it a hollow victory in my opinion, when she went home and placed the medal on the matelpiece everytime she looked at it she would in her heart of hearts know she did not deserve it , so whats the point in winning that way

thats my opinion, not trying to be pious

Sorry but you are being pious if you are suggesting that if ever you were in an Olympic quarter final and the judges awarded you the victory you would magmanimously step aside for your competitor. What if you were in a competition where it was evenly matched and the score was 11-12 to you but you knew there were at least two good kicks to your torso but were missed by the judges. Would you step aside then.

I'll go back to the point about finding money on the pavement. Do you always hand it in to the police. If not that makes you a thief (by default or otherwise).

(bugger, can't help myself arguing, why is that!!!)

Maybe I would not step down but if I won I would know the gold was fake and no amount of trying to kid myself the kick to the head that almost took my block off did not happen, I would know that it did and the gold would be won by default.

And that M'lud concludes the case for the defence. I quote 'maybe I would not step down'.
