I wish there was a "don't know" option because I honestly don't know how many points we need. I would like to agree with Titus that we can retain a play off place with less than 7.

I have an awful feeling that we'll miss out to Leicester but only on goal difference - I really hope I'm wrong.

NO idea

Our own form and that of our play off rivals is really difficult to predict right now

I'm getting a deja vu feeling from last season and I reckon we may blow it! I for one will be gutted! 2 points from 6 at home isn't a good enough return to maintain our push. Others are also faltering but we can't seem to score at the moment which is my biggest concern!

Middlesborough - draw at best
Blackpool - draw
Peterborough - lose
Leeds - draw at best
Wolves - ??? If they need a draw then I think they'll get one

Apologies for the doom and gloom but I am worried. 3 points from those games will not see us in a play off position

Dave Jones was on the radio earlier talking about Sheffield Wednesday's :)lolol:) situation. He was mentioning that Barnsley stayed up with 43 points whereas this year it is looking more like 53 to beat the drop. The same goes for the playoffs. With most clubs being capable of beating each other the points total has bunched up in the centre and the bar for the playoffs seems to have been lowered. What the final total will be is likely to be lower than in past years. How much lower I am unsure.

I agree with all that, but still don't think for one minute that 5 points will be good enough for the play offs..... Prior to us playing Forest they had won 6 in a row. Bolton are in pretty good form too, winning games. I appreciate some of the teams will be playing each other, so both can't win but each team has fifteen points to play for....
Three wins or 9 points for me does it.

I for one think we'll get there (play offs), but not from particularly positive play. More from other results/slip ups going in our favour.
Am just enjoying being in the chase for what its worth.

10 will definitely be enough . 9 probably but 8 will be close. 7 and I would not be over confident.

70 is the least amount of points to secure a play off place in the last ten years. You normally need 75 but this season is really weird with teams drawing and losing left, right and centre. I think 71 might just sneek it, along with a better goal difference(which we have) so I go for 9...three more wins might just be enough and our run in compared to the others is by far the easiest on paper. That said we are hardly in a rich vain of form. This is the time for Vicente to step upto the plate and deliver big time for us.

72 points for a play off place I think. Bolton are looking like this years late runners

I think well get 3 points from our remaining games 3 draws & 2 defeats and end up 8th

Like last season we didn't win any of our last 5 games, this whole season has been a mirror image of last season and I can't see it changing in our push for the play offs
I hope I'm wrong
