Interesting advert on Sunday brunch now

NHS saying

Don’t Go out...unless

1 health reasons
2 shopping
3 work

So they have now removed exercise, unless that is option 1

I wonder if this week, the exercise option will be removed...BUT what about people who walk their dogs? That could prove a real problem.

Went out first thing, got Sunday Paper, went home & made breakfast, now in overalls painting fencing and saying hello to passing neighbours and dog walkers etc. from my side of the fence while I get on. A lovely Spring Day.

A shame there are no decent films on TV later today, time to look at DVD collection!

The number of dog walkers I have seen in groups greater than 2 stopping for chats with other dog walkers is off the scale.

A little clarification that walking the dog means no interaction with others on the path would probably be sensible.

I know good weather will tempt people out, but of the people still working, how many will have weekends off rather than some other shift rotation?

The car park to one popular walking (with or without dogs) spot near us has been locked up now.

We walked that way with the dog yesterday.

One of the first things we saw was a family parked up on the road near to the gated off car park, getting their bits and pieces together and then heading for a walk the same way we were going.

We'd walked from home and were walking a loop to take us back at home, whilst they'd clearly driven there for their walk. They looked a decent well-to-do family based on their car and clothes etc, but what they were doing is very clearly considered "wrong" right now.

As a frequent dog walker with a big green space immediately behind my house which is popular with other dog walkers, I've seen nothing of the sort.

Where I have seen other people stop for a quick catch-up with others, they have always been well over 2 metres apart.

I don't think I've got within 20m of other people when out in the same area, let alone 2m.

To a lot of people, there is no such thing as weekends now

I've seen it a lot driving through my estate on the way back from work.

That and groups of slow cyclists together in the middle of the roads.

People are not thinking through what this is all about.

In Spain you are allowed to walk your dog but only within 150 metres of your house.

There's seems to be a growing number of do gooders on social media shaming people who are going out at all !!

It's what the government and police and Daily Mail are counting on, a group or twats that will grass and report others often with no evidence, and it's dangerous in times like this because people are going to take it too far.

I had this woman scream and shout at me about a week ago in Seaford, she had claimed I was "spreading the virus" and she was going to "expose me of social media" all I was doing was riding my bike with my 2 year old who was on his scooter. We were going to the supermarket, we'd stopped at a playground but not inside the actual playground we were just passing it as my 2 year had decided he did not want to use his scooter, and she starting shouting, she was not mental but she was one of these idioits you get in small towns that thinks she can police people.

We take our dog out as a family, all from within the same household, on our usual daily dog route. We do talk to others but maintain at least 2m if not more when we can. That said it is clear there are still people that are clearly not in the same household that are meeting to walk!

Matt Ryan has taken stay at home a bit too literally as it appears he has flown back to Sydney ?

Back from my hours walk at 10.25, thought I would get out and back before it get busier this afternoon.

One pleasing outcome of the current situation is the amount of 'good mornings' and 'thank-yous' as everyone steps apart to ensure a 2m+ gap when passing.

I don't get it , aren't they just doing what you're doing ?!

I must admit I'm getting confused now generally with the whole situation. There's seems to be a growing number of do gooders on social media shaming people who are going out at all !!

I went for a 2 hour cycle today in london but i was always at least 2 metres away from anyone else. Pretty easy on a bike really. Was slightly shocked to see cycle groups out though, 7 or 8 people together.

This is exactly the problem. Many people are trying to do the right thing, but when many others do the same it becomes the wrong thing.

Our dog walking route was considerably busier yesterday than it is normally, even on a sunny day.

I've been "social media shamed" by someone I don't know because a run I did was longer than they thought it should be. I saw very few others and came no closer than 6-7m to anyone because I gave everyone a very wide berth, often by running down the middle of a road. I'd also taken a route that kept me away from where I perceived would be busiest, ie the seafront, even though I love running by the sea.

I've kinda decided that if I'm going out for a run now, I'll do so either very early (pre-7am) or late (post-9pm) as this does avoid most others.

She's clearly being unreasonable there, but did you NEED to take your kid to the supermarket?

Only one of us ever goes to the shops, which means our son is always at home. I appreciate single parents etc have no choice in the matter, but many others have no need to take the kids to the shops (like my near-neighbours who seem to treat it as a family outing with all four of them meandering around Tesco).

Drove to the plot for my daily exercise and saw more people out and about than I would have liked. I really hope we don't blow this.

Before you criticise others why are you driving somewhere for excercise?

Is it urgent travel or are you a key worker?
