Leyton Orient, FA Cup first round. Lost 4-2, some Orient chap scored a hattrick and I booed him. I forget his name, but he was hated at the time.

This ironically was my first away game too. Went with my mums b/f at the time & went to the football themed restaurant that used to be in London afterwards.

1991 Play Off Final ... then first "proper" away game not until Nov 2004 (shame on me) when we turned over West Ham 1-0 (Butters)

Last away was at Bristol a few weeks ago

WSU, just below the seagull.
Fulham, 85 i think. Lost 1-0, a bloody penalty, Cliff Carr i memory serves me. I remember getting back to Clapham Junction, walking up the steps to Platform 13 to be greeted by a Chelsea mob that piled out of the buffet, having a go at any Brighton supporter. They played earlier in the day and were obviously bored :lolol:

For some bizarre reason it was Northampton away in 1976 or 77. Went on the Seagulls special, then on a bus from the station to the ground, singing about Henry Boot who had some advertising about whatever he owned in the town. The ground had three sides for fans and a rope on the other one separating it from the county cricket club. Won 2-0, I think Tiger Towner got one, and some locals went round the back of our stand and lobbed bricks at us, friendly chaps. Totally hooked by the whole experience, led to many memorable Seagull special trips to obscure northern and midland towns.

Orient (as they were then, without the Leyton) v Brighton, 0-0 or 1-1 I think, with my LO supporting cousins and uncle. Still meet up with my cousins in the Two Eagles caff in Leyton High Street before the games (not that I will be doing that for some time to come, hopefully).

Cannot remember if it was my first away game but went to Gillingham in the mid 60's on a supporters coach on my own and they left me behind. Did not have enough money to get the the train back via Victoria so had to wait at Gillingham police station for hours while they contacted what was then Brighton police who visited my parents to get the train fare before they got me a rail warrant to get home. Remember my parents being upset with all concerned. Imagine teenage son goes to first or one of his first away football matches and police turn up at the door around the time I should have been home.
