Look quite good but it wasnt just kids choking for 5 to 10 mins at the start of the match. 10.mins before the smog cleared. I come to watch football match not gunpowder. Time to stop it or at least limit it. Do we need that much? A friend in lower east is asmathic and wasnt happy at all.

At the risk of sounding unsympathetic, I love them. Much better than some naff flags left on seats. Adds a smokey South American fug to make our new recruits feel at home.

Go and watch Littlehampton and stick to their message board, will make life so much better

Do you sit in the first 10 rows of the east stand?
No .

If the players can run around and play elite sport in a little smoke, then I'm sure there is no danger sitting in it.

On the Border
Unless there is a requirement from the PL/TV then this should be stopped now.
Half hearted display which just fills the ground with smoke which reduces vision and its unpleasant to breath in smoke fumes.

One for the FAB to ensure is dropped immediately.

Looked naff, smelled naff, is naff. The limp officially employed to wave a flag accompanying was also…naff.

Embarrassing. Can only hope the club official who dreamt it up will soon naff off

When has there ever been a flare in the Amex?

Smoke bombs are not flares.

There have been flares at the Amex. There was a big feature in the match programme today about getting tougher on people who bring pyrotechnics to matches. One of the reasons for banning pyrotechnics in stadia is because of the health and safety impact on spectators, in particular those who suffer from asthma. So, whilst it might look nice and add to the atmosphere, I don’t get how the club can take a strong stance against pyros and set them off within 10 metres of spectators.

This is a flare

What has been brought into the ground recently is a perfectly safe smoke bomb, the type which is sold to celebrate weddings or the announcement of a baby's gender.

There is a world of difference between a flare and a smoke bomb.

Wasn`t there, but on stream pre game it honestly looked tacky ,the players especially (Estupinan) were coughing ,not a good look , and it held the game up . If we had some Coloured (not drab grey) fireworks launched from the roof that would probably look great , pre-game or when a BHAFC goal is scored ,but from the pitch - no way , don`t forget The Amex was constructed 4 levels below the surrounding landscape ,where is the smoke going ?.

I quite like it. But then I'm a bit naff! And easily pleased. And the wind turned and we got a facefull in the West Upper, so not just an East stand thing.

I sit about six rows up in the east stand, am not asthmatic so I can't comment on their experience but I genuinely didn't find it too bad, and certainly felt like it had cleared within the first couple of minutes of the game. If I'm honest the worst part was probably nearly having a heart attack as I was on my phone when they were let off, but aside for that it's fine and helps pep the atmosphere up a little

Blimey, we try and generate a little atmosphere and the fun sponges are out in force to put a stop to it.

For a little context, this is what a football stadium can be like. (Not the nonsense we see up in Croydon.)
