no other side has 1 fit striker
What matters is how many fit strikers we have on Friday. or rather for West Brom.

Yep, leaving the most important bits of business until the last day of the season, and then bidding for players that clubs want to keep hold of is a pretty indefensible transfer strategy.
Work permit?
By 11pm tomorrow we'll know if it was yet another clever stroke by TB, or whether CH has been left with a toothless squad.
If these bids are true for both players, why oh why have we left it so late that they can keep upping the prices? It makes no sense to me.

Coupled with chief scouts and experts in recruiting in the football industryThere must be some very high rollers on these boards, so ready to dish out business advice to our life long supporting, multi business owning, billionaire owner.
Judging by the youtube clips. He seems like he plays best at holding the ball up, winning headers and getting on the end of crosses. He looks especially good at linking up play. He's got a very nice 1st touch, very Murryesque at times.
If we did manage to bring him in, he will surely need another centre forward playing off him. Maybe we are going for 2?
Perhaps that's something that could have been investigated a few days/weeks/months ago.
Does he have decent pace, to suit our new counter attacking from deep game plan?

Those pesky football fans who have the temerity to express views, concerns, complaints, and even god forbid mention player targets and fees. Especially if those views are at odds with other fans.

He definitely has pace and power. He just doesn't seem lightening quick when running with the ball, probably because he's better off linking up than going solo.
If we managed to bring this man in and also the Porto forward. That could really be a potent combination upfront. 2 strong centre forwards, one is immense at hanging in the air and linking up play, the other has trickery and the want to run with the ball, and yet they both can finish and both have good 1st touches.
But will it happen?
Of course it will.
