It was so mind numbing I had to have the plot explained to me on here..other than that, La La Land was awful, mentally switched off after 4 minutes.
You’re obviously not meterosexual enough vegster, LaLa was a straight gay man’s dream, loved it. You’ve just got to zone out all the shite and embrace the experience, altogether now “City of stars, Are you shining just for me?”

West is BEST
It’s not that I have literally fallen asleep to all the films I listed, more that I found then deathly boring.

Sorry CM, I'm old school, I just like women, preferably with nice norks.

Lord of the Rings (first one), never bothered going back for the other two
With you on this one. I have tried several times to watch it but always end up asleep or totally disinterested.
Another one I feel I need to watch, as it's often touted as the best film ever, but haven't managed to date after several attempts is Citizen Kane.

Citizen Kane was fairly dull, I agree having watched it a few times. Welles later film, The Magnificent Ambersons seemed even duller and I couldnt get through it so probably would have dozed off.

That would be the Citizen Kane widely acknowledged as the best film ever made? :lolol:

It’s so tediocre. I was going to add it to my Godfather post but feared NSC having a collective meltdown at both the Gfather and C Kane being disssed. Acknowledged by who? Anyone who has ever watched a film in motion picture history regardless of genre taste...or just a select bunch of critics down the years? Don’t believe the hype.

Next you’ll be telling me Inception wasn’t the most overrated, dull, self-indulgent film since (insert equality overrated, dull, self-indulgent film here)

As Dennis Pennis once said: (to whom i don’t remember) “I have to thank you, I haven’t had sex in a while, but I went to the cinema and slept with the whole audience.”

These days, every film I try to watch after a hard day's work, getting old.
Exactly! And no reflection on the film necessarily - glad I’m not the only one struggling to get through any film after working all day!
