How anyone can't enjoy The Matrix, I'll never know. One of the few genuinley ground-breaking movies of recent years.. Mind-bending story and revolutionary special effects which have been imitated to death ever since by loads of films, but never bettered.

One of the few films which has had me leaping out of my seat going "f***ing HELL !"

Magnolia & The good girl ( nearly walked out at the cinema )

You seemed to have forgotten Police Academy 2, Police Academy 3, Police Academy 4, Police Academy 5 and Police Academy 7.

I thought the second one had its moments, especially when they glued his hands to his head in the shower, original comedy in 1984.
The rest however were an absolutely shocking pile of shit.

How can a film that won something like 11 oscars be number 1? Who the hell complied the list, probably Jonathan Wos.

It won 10 of its Oscars for things like Best Effects and Best Make-Up. It won none for the acting, nor the screenplay. It did win Best Director.

The problem with Titanic is its sentimental Americanised mush, which sought to portray the classes in the place. Kate Omelette then put on a performance at the behest of the director which completely missed the point with relation to period detail. She may or may not have been a 'class rebel', but Leo Sproutface would not have been allowed anywhere near those toffs.

It's a film totally divorced from any reality, in what was a catastrophic, if avoidable, tragedy.

My only surprise about this list however, is that Pearl Harbor is not No1. However, each of those films are quite rightly in that top ten. f***ing rubbish all of them. I would add anything with Chuck Norris and Steven Seagal into the mixer as well though.

Gareth Glover: when will you grow up out of your spectacular naivety and realise (as you have implied on a previous thread about LP and CD sales) that quantity does not necessarily mean quality?

That list is a load of crap

Worst films include crossroads (britney spears), charlies angels, rules of engagement, mean machine and commando (both so bad they're funny) + any film with adam sandler.

None of which I disagree with but does it make it a terrible movie? I don't think so - the visual effects (and direction) were superb. It was definitely overrated though . And what a hate f***ing HATED about Titanic was that ALL the English industrialists without exception were stuffy, pompous, selfish muppets and all the poor people were fun loving OYURISH people who bottled each other when they were pissed (as Oyurish people always are of course) but obviously were the only people on the whole shiop who knew how to party.

Thank God Kate Omlette got to fraternise with them, otherwise she was obviously going to be doomed to a life of funless misery.

What a load of cack.

That's one of the best things about the Matrix trilogy - you have to think. Especially after the second one, a few theories as to what could be going on. Some of the people on here obviously find that a little difficult, so can't get the best out of the film. I pity them really...

;) :D
