Downloading finally! Very much looking forward to FIFA 12 and after playing PES have realised how good FIFA genuinely is.

Upto 2008 Pes had it. Now it is FIFA's turn. Haven't played PES for ages but it seems to me FIFA keep going in the right direction. Good online features too.

Hate those money grabbing oiks at EA but you gotta hand it too them.

I just hope EA actually improve the servers/get rid of silly glitches in Online Clubs. Preventing lag switches will be impossible I imagine. It's all very well spending x amount improving one tiny element of manager mode, or getting Rooney's new hair right down to the tiniest strand, but it'd be nice to have a fully working Online Clubs mode without button lag every other game.

Also, getting rid of the f***ing scripted momentum would be nice, but it's been in EA sports games since the SNES, so not likely.

I hope they've managed to think of a way to stop people quitting at the end of an online ranked match if they're losing..... Drives me mental :wanker:

REALLY struggling with it, actually. I played a lot of Fifa 11, 100% achievements, top 50 club in the world, etc. Played a match with every team on World Class (not even Legendary) and my best result was a 0-0 with Arsenal against Marseilles where I hit the post 5 times (mind you, they did twice) and won on penalties. Am yet to score a goal from open play and even lost 5-0 in my first match as I got to grips with the new defensive features. I hate them so much that I have reverted already to "Legacy" controls. RB for teammate pressing? How inconvenient, when I am already using RT and LT for a running jockey position.

Looks like I am set to be gash at Fifa 12 for a while yet.

Really like it. Only got a few games on it last night but managed to get a nice 2-0 win with Man city against Milan on legendary.

Really like the new physics engine. It makes the players seem more 'solid'. An example of this is corners. I used to just dink them in and let my strong players pretty much barge a player out the way before heading home. Now it is not possible to just barge your way through. You have to get ROUND the defence which is how it should be.

The new defending is difficult but it's excellent once you learn it. Definitely needs more skill to operate it.

The opposition are harder compared to last year which was needed.

I agree with the previous post that the shots are better now and more 'solid'. On FIFA 11 shooting from an angle was poor. You couldn't really drill it into the bottom corner but u can now.

With the improvements to manager mode (players getting upset at being left out, extended transfer deadline day etc) as well as the new fancy EA graphics and Animations (pre-match gloss) I'm gonna love this game.

i had a kid who told ME to grow up after he quit on me, so I messaged him about it.

Generally I don't mind if people quit in the second half becuase you get an automatic win, its the fuckers that quit in the first half after going down only 1-0 that really posse me off, usually give them a fair mouthful in a private message...

I have to say this is the worst I've ever been at a fifa game, can't even beat semi pro :(

Just need practice, it comes in the end. I think in some ways it is harder if you have played FIFA before, I found myself reacting to things how I would on 11, especially in defence. It is amazing how ingrained the way we play games becomes, I learnt in my head that I needed to defend differently and shoot differently but making my hands press the buttons in the correct way took a lot longer.

I've never been frustrated by playing an updated version of a game in my life. Now that you have to manually challenge a player its far far too easy to get turned the wrong way, if you are jockeying every player without challenging all you are doing is letting them attack you. And the fact that the tackle button is now circle, every time I try to call a player I end up taking the orginal player out of the game by accidently making a tackle.

Also the AI seems to have unbelievebly unrealistic vision, every defenders clearence makes it to an attacking player, every pass is inch perfect just missing my defenders boots.

Last moan, the shadow cast by the etihad is fuckig irritating.
