As far as not playing each other goes, I would largely put that fown to the fact that Ireland have only qualified for one major tournament in the last 10 years. There was a time we used to get drawn together every single tournament.
In the mid 90s, Ireland could probably have rolled us over but these days we are far superior in pretty much every department and would win home or
away about 3-1.
Last ten years? - World Cup 1994, World Cup 2002. We qualified for both. Short memories, eh?
And also, I doubt you'd draw, let alone win against Ireland these days. You're not a superior team, despite having a large number of better players, the primadonna factor comes in...
