think the Rutter purchase puts the Ferdi interest to bed. ( I know they play different positions)
It seems to me that they were expecting a bigger bid for Ferdi off a big 6 club and we got fed up waiting.
I think we can cover the right wing back role with a combination of Veltman and more often, Hinshelwood, due to his dynamism. I actually think that Hinshelwood is well suited to that role in a Hurzeler team and if Rutter is acquired then we need a position for Jack.

To me, what we’ve been looking for stats wise is someone that can give us progressive carries. Kadioglu’s stats evidenced that but so do Rutters.
I don’t think the two have anything to do with each other from a purely footballing perspective (like signing a GK and saying we don’t need a Striker) but more available funds.

We are so desperate for a right back.

Dyche will have massive plans to exploit the time and space Villarreal had on our right side. We need to stop him!

This seems to be the consensus in Turkey - down to the player now. Imagine if we spent over £70m in 2 days!

It doesn’t make sense to invest so much elsewhere, and leave ourselves with just Lamptey as a specialist attacking RB.
Feels like ferdi is number one but I'm sure there's others down the list. Gut feeling ferdi stays at fenerbache.

From the limited time he spent there I thought Hinshelwood was excellent at RB last season.
He was - and will only get better. He has all the attributes to be a terrific full back.

I really don't understand why people bang on about him 'being a centre midfielder'. He's a kid, who does not HAVE to be pigeon-holed.

Circumstance, opportunity, coaching, and attributes will all combine organically to determine where he ends up (predominantly) featuring.

And right now, that's very likely at right back.

Everything needs to be pigeon holed as QUICKLY as possible. Its black or it's white, no grey areas. It's either a pigeon or a hole. End of.

With respect. Rubbish.
