Too many great songs to mention. Can't believe I missed The Specials at the start of the Two-Tone tour as I was only 13:(
I still play/watch The Specials on video/cd probably every day.
Does anyone ever go on The Specials website?

are we talking just music that appeared on the two tone label then?

My mate has a band called SKATOONS who are playing at the Jugelberry in Kemp Town this Friday Night. they are really , really good if you are looking for genuine ska music.

Pah, i saw the Specials when i was 13, at Worthing assembly rooms, supported by bodysnatchers and the reluctant stereoyptes (fronted by Paul King, later of King)

Tried to see them a short while later at Top Rank (not the 2 tone tour) turned away as my mates sister was wearing steelies. Still resent her for it 25 years on.:nono:

Other memories, waiting to play Moon Cresta in the Crystal rooms and when the guy finishes and turns round, it's Jerry Dammers.

For me has to be Too Much too Young (EP)

I hope they bring a new version of stand down Tony.

I reckon it would be a massive hit.

Yeah, bound to aren't they. Afterall, Tony has presided over the economic destruction of Coventry and the rest of manufacturing Britain.

No matter what he does, he could never be hated in the same way as Thatcher........:flameboun

Not on Two Tone ( I think ) but surely The Liquidator is by the Harry J. Allstars is one of the all time classic ska tunes.

To the extent of the OB getting it banned at Wolves !

Just double-checked it was 19 October 1979 and the first night of the tour.
Madness played that night too, lots of skinheads on the 1.06am train back to hastings, not scarey if you were 15 and been on the ciders.

Favourite 2 tone track Concrete jungle - specials
