Quality Butchers Pork Sausage
Nice Think smoked bacon (not crispy)
HEINZ beans
Half a tomato, grilled
Mushrooms, sauteed in real butter
Fried Slice (medium cut white bread)
Fried Egg White (allergic to yolk)
CHIPS

Chips? You. Foodie. Slag.

CHIPS HAVE NO PLACE AND DO NOT BELONG IN AN ENGLISH BREAKFAST FRY-UP THING.

That's going in chapter one, probably the first page.

suppose you will be one of the POOFS that go for the MINCER sauteed potatoes, that only like splashing around in oil, like girls dipping their toe into the sea and screaming because its too cold. Potatoes should be chucked in at the deep end, deep fat fried, crispy and MANLY.

Its called a FRY up, not "mince around in a sauce pan" up

I don't think there's any place in a fry up for chips. Bread and butter, fried slice, hash browns or bubble and squeek are all worthy carb fillers

No, an English fry-up breakfast should NOT contain potatoes ANYWHERE.

No chips, no sautées, no croquettes, no waffles, no hash browns (American, therefore NOT English), no crisps, no wedges, nowt. Bubble & squeak is allowable for breakfast but not in a fry-up.

There, that's page two written.

So you didn't appreciate the ziggurat of ROAST POTATOES on Sunday then...? :glare:

It's not a deep fry up though is it Brettles. Technically EVRYTHING should be cooked in the frying pan except the TOAST.

2 Bacon - Thick with slightly crispy edges
2 Sausage - Your choice
4 Hashbrown - (American or not - sausages are German)
Spoonfull of beans
Handful of button mushrooms
3 Fried egg
Small plain omelette
Black pudding
Potato cake (Irish and lovely)
3 slices of medium, Warburtuns WHITE buttered with Lurpac.
MASSIVE mug of tea.

And a mong out in front of telly while the whole lot seeps into your arteries.

Possibly one of the queerest fry ups I have seen for a long time. Black Pudding?

Way out west
Gloucester old spot...being a bit partisan to where I live, and wanting to support our local farmers...plus, do I win the prize for posting the biggest one?

The Sausage Shop in one of the lanes off the main street in Bath does a mean "Cajun Scorcher". Serious ring stinger and takes forever to get the orange grease/oil marks off of whatever you cooked them in!
