No, an English fry-up breakfast should NOT contain potatoes ANYWHERE.

No chips, no sautées, no croquettes, no waffles, no hash browns (American, therefore NOT English), no crisps, no wedges, nowt. Bubble & squeak is allowable for breakfast but not in a fry-up.

The Sausage Shop in one of the lanes off the main street in Bath does a mean "Cajun Scorcher". Serious ring stinger and takes forever to get the orange grease/oil marks off of whatever you cooked them in!

You can always do what I do with chorizo sausages.

As soon you've cooked them, put them in a flameproof dish, pour brandy or dark rum over them and set fire to them. Looks cool and snazzy, and adds to the taste.
